OK -
So I started playing Fallout 3 this summer and could not put it down... absolutely love every aspect of it.
Great isn't it ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif)
I'm stuck at home unemployed for a while, with little to do, and my friends suggest Oblivion.
A good friend and a good recommendation. It's still probably one of the best games on the 360 to date.
I have been playing for about a week now, and I have to say, I have gotten so bored and aggravated with this game I'm having a tough time forcing myself to finish it.
I find that hard to believe, but each to their own. This game is filled with so many bugs... I have never had a game freeze up on me as much as this one.
And don't we all know it! It is very very buggy, and some quests are more renowned for 'game stopping' glitches than others, so it's recommended universally that you save often, especially after progress. Also make new saves and delete archaic ones, don't overwrite. You should have about 10 saves of current (recent) game play, where you would be able to go back to the first of the ten and not lose too much progress, and possibly 3 very old saves. These are in the event of one of the trickier glitches where your recent actions could lead up to a problem and recent saves would not suffice to reverse the damage.
Could someone please tell me why, if I am Invisible, with a sneak of 100, that the enemy still follows me around? And, the guards still run up to me ( when they don't appear out of thin air ) after I kill people in town trying to collect the fine? WTF ?? Did Bethesda not know what INVISIBLE meant until they came up with the stealth boy?
UESP Invisibility I suggest you take a look here for some invisibility and sneaking tips. It does say on this page that being invisible obviously renders you invisible, but not inaudible, so therefore you could still be detected. Also some scripted NCP actions allows you to be detected while invisible. Best thing to do is just clear your bounty with a doyen if you want to venture in he cities. Or else live like a proper criminal and keep to the forests and small settlements ![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
These guards, oh how they make me swear sometimes. I can't finish the "Unfriendly Competition" mission, and here's why. I got to the point where I catch Agarmir in the mausoleum, he caught me off guard the first time and killed me
(Lolz
), so after my auto save loaded, I wanted to go back, but the door was locked... so I crouched down and started shooting arrows at him before we had our discussion.... a guard, appears out of nowhere, through a locked door, and tells me to pay the fine... WTF is this SH**? so now, Agarmir and his pal are locked in the mausoleum, and I can't get in to kill him.
Again the multiple saves could have saved you here. Also the guards will be roused by other NCP's being attacked in the city. Why does this game lack the choice of being a good or bad guy? I love being evil... and am not allowed to be!!! Also, I am sick of coming across annoying characters that I want to kill, only to find that I can only knock them unconscious. OMG that is so LAME !!
These characters are essential to quests, so that why you can't kill them. I'm pretty sure it's better this way than getting through a long quest and then finding the person you need at the end of it is dead by your unknowing actions. And who says you can't be evil? Infamy makes people fear and despise you.
I'm gonna try to give this game another chance.. but as far as I can tell, once you are over how gorgeous everything looks, after all the "ooooohs and ahhhhhhs", you'll be left with nothing but "Yaaaaawwwwnn and ZZZZZZZZ"
No comment on this last bit ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif)
