Is the guide updated often if there are stuff that are missing? Just asking because im going for this achievement very soon and I am planning to use the guide and write it out as a paper form so I can check stuff.

You could use the "print" function at the top of the page (by search, rate and notify) to save yourself the hassle of writing it down on paper.

I just wonder if you recommend me starting a whole new game were I have zero stuff picked up and can begin from the beginning or I should start a whole new game and find all of the items again.

It depends really on how much fruit you currently have. I reccomend starting again if u have below 30 fruits.

If you're close to getting the fruits, just put aside at least 1.5 hours to search for the fruit. Look at the list and go to each spot and beyond. Don't skip any spots.

I kept skipping one spot on my search, and the one of 2 times I went there, I didn't go back far enough. But the last time I went, I went past where I first thought it was, and WALA!

I just went through the guide and now have 99/100  =(
Some of them are hard to know if you already got them.  Especially the plant shaking ones where there isn't a planter to show you already got it.

I'll name my firstborn child after the person who adds video to the list for each plant  =)

Is this Scooner's Shack?

No it's in that place just before you get major ruin i think. The one thats filled water. You find the pearls in the water using deep blue.

I've played throught the entire game, so I'm not sure which hut you mean.. but Scooner's shack had a small note saying something about "my pearls" so I thought that was the right hut

Have you found the pearls? If so dig them out under the water and roll them towards what look like seashells which are located under that big island bit. Once you do all three you speak to the man i think thats near them, and then the woman that is blocking the entrance to one of the huts moves. There is a elixir in their or a fruit.

96.  Complete the five sign quest in the Snow Top Village:
Sign 1. Behind Chom's Den
Sign 2. Behind Shop.
Sign 3. At base of ice wall to Sulfur Cave
Sign 4. At beginning of falling snowballs
Sign 5. Just past the entrance to the Ice Temple.

Im stuck on 99 fruits, and im pretty sure this is the last one I need. Is the Ice Temple the same thing as the Snow Temple? And by beginning of falling snowballs, does it mean at the top wehre they come out of, or the bottom where they fall, where you first encounter them.

Yes, the ice temple is the snow temple (where you go to play through the mission).  

If I remember correctly it's where you first encounter the snowballs.  There is more detail to the sign's location section 5.16.1 in my full guide at http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/516505/40510.

Question

 

I've been using the excel vs of the checklist. Been pretty diligent. However, I reached crystal grotto and I discovered that what the spreadsheet says I have and what the game says I have is off by two.

 

Does anyone know if the spreadsheet is either missing a couple? Or did i probably check something off without picking it up? I really don't want to have to go thru it AGAIN, but will if i have to. Better that than backtracking.

 

Probably miss checked something.  Might as well go back, it gets easier because you'll remember certain places.
