Does this mean you'll be changing when he gets his own tag?  Smile [:)]

Re: Gamer Tags
I was playing a flash game, and it said it was in Silver Edition (like a Beta phase, I assume) or something. Anyway, I thought this had a nice ring to it, but I already knew a dude who called himself Silver, and Gold Edition just doesn't roll off the tongue. Most people just call me Bronze, though, so it could also be an ironic name, in such a way as a tall man might get called Shorty, or Tiny (I am pretty pale (can't get a tan in front of a TV in a dark room)).

I hate the idea of having to put numbers or extra letters on screen names because they are taken, too, so I'm lucky it's a pretty unique name.

Re: Gamer Tags
Nothing so grandiose for the origin of my gamer tag. It's a mixture of my name (Chris) and my wifes name (Sara). We both play Xbox and couldn't be bothered to knock up two different tags so we shared one... It's also our e-mail ID too. And it means all our acheivements get combined too as she likes to play puzzle games and the sorts of "WifeCrack" (Google it) games that you find on XBLA and I like to play FPS and action games.... We thought CandSara sounded better than SandChris.

Re: Gamer Tags

My username goes back to my days of playing the PC game "Return to Castle Wolfenstein".

I thought that killing me in that game was "like taking candy from a baby".  So, at first I adopted the name "Baby with candy".  Then, I thought of combining with another phrase which is associated with war, "Are we men or are we mice".

I simply took Baby from one phrase and mouse (mice) from the other, and you end up with : Babymouse.

I actually used alternate colours for each letter in Wolfenstein, with a ! mark on the end of it:

Mine's simply my first and middle names slapped together  to form my gamer tag.  (Terry & Bill obviously) When said, it also accurately describes my overall gaming skills. (Terrible) Which is why you'll never see me getting a beating on live. I'm quite content on getting a beating by people I know, in the same room for now.

I got the nick name "Lunch" when I was in the Army. Scoring other guys girlfriends was called "cutting their lunch" and well I used to think of it as a bit of sport when the ski-bunnys came to Ohakune for the ski season. (Waiouru is a boring place at the best of times). The guys that I used to hang out with were known as the dog squad - so hence Lunch Dog. PS I never scored any mates girlfriends - that would break the man code, but Aucklanders coming down for the ski season was fair game. I have since reformed my ways (cause my girlfriend would be pretty upset otherwise). :-D

My GT is a character from an old English comic book called Dandy (was along the same lines as Buster and the Beano). He was ugly as sin, like me, and could twist his face into different shapes etc. Was also a pet name my Dad used to call me. Seemd to fit quite well, and it wasn't taken!!

Remember the character and the comics well. Can't forget of course "Whizzer and Chips" and "Whoopee" either.

Re: Gamer Tags
Mine came from a language, of sorts, that I created at the best flat I've ever lived in.

For a while there, everything that was good was a doozy. "You should watch that program, its a doozy" and whatnot. The thing was, I've always been rather creative with the english language, and so I promptly shortened this to "Dooze"

"Cookie Monster? Yeah that cocktail is a dooze!" et cetera, et cetera, ad infinitum.

After a while, I thought it was apt to rename my flatmates to show, in the simple act of addressing them on a daily basis, just how much I cared. Thus, Bryan became Brooze, Janine became Janooze, and they naturally decided that Eddie (thats me) should become Edooze.

This went on to become a full language with excellent things like the "Xbooze" and such. You can pretty much make any word reflect the excellent quality of the topic of description, merely by contorting it thus.

My GT is supposed to be said ed-ooze, but the often-confused-about-simple-things americans read this as e-dooze. I guess  that with the advent of e-mail and e-business it makes sense, but theyre still retards. :-D

I'll throw my hat in.

Many years ago circa 1990 some miscreant youths whom I had the pleasure of looking after in a youth group setting decided I needed a Tag. They gave me Phatazz as in (Cool as).

Unfortunately when I set up my GT it had been taken.  In honor of my favourite little thugs I threw the OG on the front.

After a long 5 minute think over a smoke and a glass of coke, I decided that I would pick Ves n Lox, Lox being Locks, because i'm trapped on this damn machine... just another addiction to add to the list I guess. The Ves part came as I shortened down my nickname.

I couldn't be fragged about picking something that was lasting. My baad... but these are the results you get when using minimal brain power and having a smoke.

I was about to tell a really cool story about where my gamertag came from. Then i realised their isn't one :(

A few weeks ago i was known as Testdrive Media (NOTHING to do with the game) which was related to an old business venture. I knew it was a crap gamertag, and eventually forked out the microsoft points to change it to my current one. Which, as it happens, i feel suits me, my personallity, and lifestyle to a tee :)

I typed my real name into a Ninja name generator online. Must say I am pretty happy with it and quite often get people going "cool name dude" when joining games.

My GamerTag is the name of a slightly mental Killer7 character: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaede_Smith#KAEDE_Smith

KAEDE Smith (楓・墨州, Kaede Sumisu) is the fourth persona and the only female member of the Smith Syndicate. She is always seen wearing a short dress stained with blood and is rarely seen wearing any shoes.

Happy Ronin.

I am usually in a good mood especially when I am gaming hence Happy

After a brief stint with a clan which went belly up I though Ronin was appropraite.  A rōnin was a masterless samurai during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the ruin or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master's favor or privilege.  A lot of Ronin became mercenaries for hire instead of committing suicide.

'Pax Bisonica' is a reference to legendary Street Fighter 2 Boss, M. Bison. It comes from a line in the feeble hollywood Street Fighter movie. Unbelievably a couple of peeps have actually 'got' the reference!

Mine is pretty simple.

Just say it out loud...Americans don't get it, but ANZACs usually pick it up pretty quick.

Oh and i tend to say it sometimes to trash talkers.

My little brother used to say "Your gona get a smashing from mum when she gets home" for doing something we probably shudn't have been doing. Being small he would say it as "Smash King" instead od smashing. The rest is history for the last 25 years...
