And again there will never be a perfect football game..And this is because everyones perception of how to play the game is different..Sure they are instances where the line doesnt block or a db gets beat..But have any of you ever thought that the reason that the DE didnt get blocked was because of your opponents defensive playcall?

Madden 360 is all you got for the new box at this time.  Graphics are good, extras are slim.  Gameplay is ok but has some serious room for improvement.  While running you never can tell what your guy is going to do when you hit the juke button or stiff arm (it seems quite random).  Passing-sometimes on long passes you'll have your receiver in stride but hit the y button and he'll look over his shoulder instead of catching a ball that should have been easily caught.  You can do hot routes but only screens, outs, ins, or str8 up the field-no flares or slants in hot routes.   If you get caught up with a db it is very hard to get your guy to break loose so that you can position yourself.  Way too many times on anything but str8 up the field routes d players can just impede your route to the ball without any call.  Way too many times if you start to pass the ball and it is coming out of the QB's hand already but you get hit at that instant they will call it a fumble.  On D, while you can do the simple things like shift your line left right or spread (same with lbs), you can also bring your dbs up or back.  You cannot shift your dbs to the inside or outside of the receiver to provide better coverage against slant routes or out and ups.  You cannot change the way your line is stunting ala originally they are doing crossovers and you shift them left or right you still can't change that they are doing crossovers and not all stunting right or left in or out etc.

 

Graphically and feel is great but it's the little things that you could do in 2k5 that bust the madden game for me.  I'll still play but hopefully come fall the rumour of Legends comes true.

I started my franchise with Madden 360 today, I caught a guy trading it in at a EB..for $24 I gave it to him in cash and brought it home...It was practically new...I don't even think he played it more than 10 mins before trading it...

I hate this game so much, but as you stated its all we got for now, since it really seems like Microsoft hates 2ksports and are turning bias like Sony....Not giving the people what they want....

I love my XBOX 360, but all the good games are getting delayed and we continue to have only one choice on a NFL game..Graphics or not...I'd still play 2k5 with updated rosters for 5 years than play Madden...

I like Madden 360 graphics to a certain extent...but the bad presentation kills it...and the repetitive crowd swinging their arms and clapping is just ridiculously stupid looking...Not to mention they cheer all the time for either team...Thats dumb...

I mean damn boo the away team when they score, instead they cheer,  the radio announcer, sucks...if he was a real announcer without the whole AM radio sound..he'd be cool...better than Madden talking...

Every time I pick this game up and bite my lip to continue my season it hurts......Not to mention I've hurt my leg kicking my table in anger with all the stupid defense and offense choices made and the cheating *** computer ....

I'll just call John Madden for some Tough Actin Tanactin...and see if I can heal the wounds.....lol

Bring 2k5 to BC....because EA sucks...only choice is not always the best choice...Microsoft...Don't turn into a bias company...I'm supporting you...Because I have respect for you...don't lose that.....

The problem is this, every year people say "Madden is gonna do this...." or "Madden is gonna do that...." and each year, Madden fails to live up to it's promises...and strings the fans boys along for their extra 50 bucks.  I've given Madden a chance 2 times now, once for the '06 on the Xbox as well as the 360.  EA sports will never see another dollar of my money again.

initially i did not like this game. but after playing online and becoming accustomned to the different style, i have started having fun. its not as in depth as 2k4, and not as as much fun as 2k3, but the game is a step forward for the series (IMHO).

 

btw this is fireal, i used to play with you lot a few years ago. let me know who is still around so we can get a game in sometime.

Sorry to have to tell ya buddy, but you must live in a different universe if you think us ESPN NFL 2K5 fans actually like the new Madden 06 for the Xbox 360.  The new Madden is a joke.  And the only good thing about it is that it's probably going to be the last Madden game.  ESPN far out shines Madden in just about every category; graphics, realism, features, playability, you name it.  EA Sports robbed the NFL football video gamers of choice by purchasing the NFL rights to create the game.  It's so obvious they were scared of a little competition from ESPN.  The problem is, it appears they spent so much money to acquire the rights, they didn't have anything left to spend on improvements for the game.  I am still waiting for Xbox to make ESPN NFL 2K5 compatible for the 360.  Until then, or when a better NFL (or non- NFL) football game comes around, I'll play something else.  It's not all that bad however, at least EA Sports got FIFA right.  FIFA 06 rocks.

Madden 360 is quite possibly the worst football game to come out in the last 5 years. I'd rather play NFL2K1 on my old Dreamcast than this P.O.S.. I sold it after 3 days it was so bad. Now i'm back to 2K5 and loving every minute of it. Real football fans don't need updated rosters. ***, I can create every new player I want on 2K5. I'll check out 07, but my expectations are in the gutter. Even the new Arena game is getting absolutely thrashed in the reviews.

-I loved NFL2k5,,,,,i'm disappionted in madden 360.Too many things missing and the playbook is like a 'fisher price' playbook for kids.Next year,espn and ea teamed up for the new espn football or madden 2007 or whatever its being called.lets just hope and pray that next years 'madden' or espn title will combine the best of both games.i like madden 360-the first time i bought madden in years.I rather keep playing 2k5 and I still update it.i also keep my giants as current as possible.Maddens not bad for a next gen game for 360,but i'll be expecting more and more next year.Like gene and paul said-''you want the best,you got the best''.....it better be next year.

i bought my 360 mostly due to my xbox drive crapping out($70-100 dit, i know), i thought i would be able to put in 2k5 when i got home....i hate everything...

i picked up madden for $18, $18 + shipping(2.45) off ebay, yes used. i am happy cause i payed 18 for it. the jerkiness has got to stop though, looks completely unprofessional and was nowhere to be seen in the demo.

 

i want a freakn 2k6 NFL(360) plz or a patch to backward compatible 2k5.
