Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns
I just got this achievement also... I tried using this method but it wasn't working for me for some reason.  I ended up getting all 16 ghosts with one life using the maps here(http://www.nrchapman.com/pacman/cherry.html)... maybe this will help some people that are still stuck.  Thanks to everyone for the help.

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns
It's doable, but I feel your frustration. If you keep at it, following these patterns, you'll eventually get it. The whole achievement is largely down to luck, but these patterns reduce the amount of luck you actually need to complete it.

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns

I don't understand why this achievment is so difficult for you guys.. Just stick by the tunnels until the 3 ghosts follow and then follow the orange one to the closest coin and eat them up...

I can do this everytime in like 5 minutes..

Just stick with the tips people give you and if you don't feel its the right time don't do it.

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns
I just got this achievement. After an hour of trying to follow mazes and memorize the video from that Cherry Pattern page, I just decided to try my own way and got it on the first attempt after that. I found the same achievement a thousand times easier to get on Ms. Pac-man - I don't know why. I think I got that one within about 5 or 6 attempts - I had the first 11 achievements within 15 minutes.

The strategy that worked for me on Pac-man for this achievement was not staying in any one place or following any particular pattern. It was simply getting good enough on level 1 that I could keep moving for as long as it took to get all my ghosts in a row. Within a minute or two of dodging your way around the maze, the ghosts should all come together. The all have to be pretty close behind you if you're going to stand a good chance of getting them so I think it's best to bid your time for each pill until you get a really good opportunity.

I nearly gave up a couple of times but I'm glad I stuck at it.

Thanks soooo much Rileymesh, I got it with yours and everyone else in this forums advice after about an hour or so of memorizing the pattern and trying to make it work - much better than just waiting for it to happen though! Thanks! Your the greatest!

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns
great post.  It took me a little bit but once you get the pattern down, it's gravy.  anyone having trouble check it, study it and achieve it.

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns

According to Wiki, a guy called Billy Mitchell has done a perfect play through to level 256 on the arcade without losing a life and eating everything! That means eating EVERY blue ghost EVERY level!

If that's true, it's astonishing.

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns
Thanks for the tips.  I could only get the first pattern to work, and I had to get the other 12 ghosts on my own.  So I'm actually impressed that I did most of it myself. :p

Re: Perfect Achievement Patterns

I know it's off topic, but it is 100% true. I met Billy Mitchell last June at the Pacman World Championship in New York. It took him little over 6 hours to complete and the fact is recorded in the Guiness Book of World Records for Computer and Video Games.

What makes this achievement even more amazing, he didn't use set patterns, effectively busking the whole way!!
