Re: Rockets post 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We still NEED another 7 footer. I say we should get Tyson Chandler.

And we need to start negotiating contracts with Ron and Von. They are both key to our success. So, get to work Morey. We need those two guys.

Good season Rockets!

Tyson Chandler is probably the only big man in the league more injury prone than Yao.

Then who do you suggest, it doesn't sound likely that we are gonna get Amare. I think he is off to Golden State. We can't win with just one 7 footer. Who do you suggest?

If Yao is going ot be healthy then you don't need a star player, you just need a guy who can rebound and be a decent defensive player.

Suggestions include Pachulia/Gortat/McDyess/Villanueva etc.

They're all Free Agents this summer and are proven to be good 2nd option big men.

I'd take Gortat out of all of them. He seemed to play better in the Finals than Dwight.

Maybe we get Gortat and trade him Dwight then.

Lakers get Artest, Rockets get Ariza. I love this deal, we lose all of Artest's terrible shots and gain efficient shooting by Ariza. Even though we lose a 2nd team all defender, we gain a pretty good defender and a better shooter.

Next on the Rockets signing list is Gortat according to multiple sources.

Why isn't he good for us? He is a good defender and scores pretty well. He would be a great backup for Yao in my eyes.

Why don't you just get out of here. You don't know anything about Yao, no one really does. Those were just speculation reports from the doctors. When something is official then you can come talk to me.

Ok then why doesn't Yao deny it or the team deny if it's just speculation?

Re: Rockets post 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IMO, Ariza owned Turkoglo in the playoffs. Hedo was constantly pushing off. Constantly. I'm hoping for the best here ... though it's a pretty long contract for a player with one solid year under his belt. Ya'll quit fighting about Yao. Someguy is the ultimate optimist. All our players could die and he'd say they could come back. Let's see what happens. We all know there is no free agent replacement for Yao. We need a Stoudamire or Bosh ... or something. Not that Bosh is a center ... but we need frickin' a big signing. All this other stuff is neither here nor there. Sadly, I'm not rooting for McGrady. A renewed Tracy is our only hope for next season, which isn't saying a lot. Laker, Orlando, Cleveland, San Antonio have all made incredible additions and are clearly the favorites. Matter of fact, I've never seen four teams so tremendous at the same time in my life. PS. Why is my stupid Mac Mini (which I just got) showing this message without any line breaks?!?!?!?

I think this will be our lineup in the beginning of the season.

Brooks/Lowry
Tmac/Wafer/Barry
Battier/Ariza
Scola/Landry/Hayes
Gortat/Dorsey

I think Yao will join a few weeks into the season.

What do you guys think?

Where did you get that info, I haven't heard Wafer say anything yet. He is just testing the market to see if someone will pay him higher than the Rockets. If not, he will be back in H-town. The Rockets are still interested in re-signing him but they won't overpay him.

Here is the current news with Yao and the Rockets. It says he will decide how to treat his foot in the next couple of days. That will determine how long he will be out. And the NBA has granted the Rockets more cap space because of Yao's injury.

"General manager Daryl Morey said the league's approval for the injury exception does not rule out Yao's return this season."

So Yao is not ruled out for this season yet.

Houston takes care of business in a close game with Golden State. James White led the team with 14 points and Joey Dorsey had 12 rebounds.

I hope there is a monster dunk by White in one of the games in the summer league. It will be a preview of his appearance in the 2010 slam dunk contest, where he will destroy LeBrick.

We play Dallas on Saturday at 7 pm. est.

Thanks for the link. Dorsey had 5 TOs and 4 fouls in 24 minutes. 12 rebs and 2 blocks though.

4 TOs from White. Still he had a good all-around game (trey, 8 FTs, a block).

Decent game from Budinger, too.

Taylor didn't play. No other notables did or appear to even be on the roster after those guys.

Joey Dorsey had a great game with 13 points and 15 rebounds. And Budinger was impressive with 25 points. We almost let Dallas come back at the end but we held on.

James White is starting to secure his spot on the Houston Rockets during the regular season. He has scored in double digits every game so far. And Dorsey is getting so many rebounds, he had 16 in this game!!!

We play the Blazers on wednesday and the Lakers on Thursday. Rematches of both of the teams we played in the playoffs. Even though you won't see Kobe, Roy, or Yao in the games, it will still be fun to watch.
