I stll play ESPN NFL 2K5 normally over Madden 2006.  Just check out the online lobbies.

I have a friend who still plays ESPN NFL 2K5 as of today.  He insists that it is the best football game ever made.

I too still play this game. It's just too good.  Sadly,  I can't play online on my 360. It lets me get into through the first quarter, then it just ends the game so I'm stuck to offline play only.

It is the best football game ever made.. I just havent played it in years...

I've just brought it today. Not liking Madden 09 and i've watched a ton of videos of 2K5 online and it looks AMAZING. The gameplay, presentation (pre game, half time, post game shows, replays, weekly reviews, how amazing!) and everything else just looks amazing.

And it only cost me £5.89 off Play.com. Can't wait for it to come.

I just got it off Ebay for like $5.


It's amazing how 5 years later it has tons of fun stuff like fans tailgating, multiple camera angles and the NFL Prime Time highlight show - meanwhile, Madden 09 still doesn't have any of that stuff on Next-Gen consoles....


Maybe Madden 10 will finally get it together...

alot of people should go to gamestop and pick it up for a buck. because gamestop has stopped taking original xbox trade ins. so get it while you can,it is the bomb

I just got an HD TV and since I am itching for football, I fired up both NFL 2K5 and Madden 09...I honestly have to say that NFL 2K5 looks and plays way better than Madden, even if it wasn't designed for HD. I have no plans to ever buy Madden again unless they make it as good (presentation wise mainly) as 2K5

I always think Madden will "get it together" next year...it was going to have a mid-game save feature in it, which is very important to me with a busy life but they took it out at the last minute and I was out $60.00...I've pretty much gone back to NFL 2K5...I play franchise mode anyway, so roster updates aren't all that important.

It still is the most immersive NFL game ever made.
