I've just started playing so I pretty much suck at this game right now. However, I'm a huge fan of 1-shot takedowns thanks to the likes of the Rainbow Six series. Anyway, I was on the mission where you clear out the church or something.  On the first enemy encounter, I was able to sneak up on the German until approximately 15 ft away. I had my reticule turned ON and centered perfectly on the back of his head (no helmet interference). Anyway, I cracked a round off and the German just tucked, ran and jumped over a brick wall. I replayed this 3 more times, same outcome. Now let's face it, in the real world that round would cause almost instant death. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with this.  I don't know if you ever get a sniper rifle in the game (assuming you do), but I'm sure that has instant kills for head shots.

You have to use the iron sights.  Click the right thumbstick and then just put the top of the front sight on the head and fire away.  Try using grenades.. lets just say sometimes they lose their arms and legs.

You have to aim the gun through the sights, not shoot from the hip.  The reticule is just an estimate of where your shot will go if you don't aim it.  Turn it off.
