So did you check the xbox inside or just the lot number? The lot number might be misleading and you should always check the console it self. On 360drives.com there is a xbox 360 elite resident evil edition jasper made from TMEM but the lot number is unknown.

Okay, my first message might have been misunderstood. The sticker on the side of the box said TMEM. The sticker on the console, looking thru the hole in the box said it was 0607. I will be doing a search tomorrow at two different Best Buys and will report back.

Is it possible you were reading it upside-down and got the numbers mixed-up? Lot 0607 would translate as 2006, week 7 (e.g. February 2007). If it was 0907 (February 2009), that would be more consistent with the Lot numbers of newer consoles, like the Lot 0909 Xbox Arcade mentioned a couple pages back.

So it appears to me that the game of the year bundles, are an attempt to push those piled up 360 Falcons! Yes add a little more value to the Elite by packaging in two games that cost Microsoft nearly nothing! It will suceed in getting more average people, that don't know about the console revisions, to buy the Elite, considering it to be the best value. I am so glad I learned of the Jasper as I was considering an Elite. Instead I saved a hundred bucks and got a better built Japser console. I didn't like the RE5 edition Jasper Elite either.

Could it have been a 907? I know it is a long shot, but the 607 business sounds odd. I half hope that they are Falcons as it would at least mean the inventory of those is getting smaller.I had a look in my local Game store, still no joy there. They rarely seem to get a fresh delivery in.

Called Best Buy location in Durham NC. I was told that there were no Elite Halo 3/Fable 2 bundles in the store and none at any of the stores in NC. They were only available online. Let me know what you guys/gals find out. I went to two Best Buys, I did not talk to anyone there, but they did not have any new Elite bundles.

Sorry for the consecutive posts. Went to two other Gamestops in NC. Looking on the console, not the sticker on the box. It was an 824. So, I went to the second Gamestop and the guy was nice enough to actually open the box and pull out the console to see the wattage. Of course it was 14.2 :( The date was also an 824. I will be interested to see what other people discover.

They are proving very difficult to locate. The RE5 special editions were all Jasper. Only seen to sightings of black Jaspers, one in Germany and one in Jaspan. Our hunt goes on. I'm bummed out as I really wanted to go buy one next weekend. Keep posting guys.

So they opened the box for you on an Elite GOTY Bundle and it was 14.2?  That's...disappointing.

Damn man, was it the GOTY pack? bummer if it was. I want to jump on board next week, although the GOTY pack is not available in the UK. Gonna grab a Game bundle, not sure which to go for. They also have some pretty good game offers at the moment, Halo wars is £23 and GOW2 is also around £23 too. Sadly, COD4 seems to be at almost full price still. I think you can get Mass effect on the classics range (with DLC) for £20.

Yeah it was the GOTY Bundle. He said it had been sitting in the back for a week or two. It was new packaging too, no big sticker on the box covering an old system. I was so stoked to get my Elite this weekend. Complete and total Bummage.

Well, I'd say wait a few more weeks and see if they're *all* gonna be Falcons but eventually if you have to pull the trigger then I say pull the trigger.

I had a Zephyr Pro that I plaid a LOT of 18 months and it didn't die before I upgraded to the Elite.  The manager at BB is gonna let me swap for a GOTY bundle and I'll do it if they're Jaspers but if not then I'll just play my Falcon and hope for the best.  I haven't had any problems yet. 

And if this one is bad then I'll deal with it untill Valhalla comes out and then go get one or something. :)

I'd feel like I let myself down if I jump in now and bag a Falcon. I need to sit it out and remain calm until they show. I'm gonna try next weekend but I don't hold out much hope. Damn those Elites move slow.

How long are you willing to wait, though?  And why?  Just for a slightly higher chance that it won't crap out?

OTOH, I feel kinda bad that I jumped in and got an Elite anyway.  But I just needed the sexy blackness.  And, to be honest, if my elite is down a lot I can afford to go get an Arcade to play while it's off getting fixed. :)  And I've never had my 360 fail so maybe it's not as bad as the forum folk suggest.

If I hadn't been in the hunt for so long then I may have pulled the trigger a while ago, but as things stand, I have resigned myself to waiting. Saw some Batman Arkam Asylum special editions on the Spotlight on Live. Perhaps they may be Jaspers. It isn't much I ask, just a black Jasper. Well, this weekend I will be going to my local store and checking out if they have one. I am 99% sure they won't but stranger things have happened. I taught the guy in the shop how you tell it is a Jasper, when I saw him the other day he said they hadn't got any. I have store credit at that shop on a gift card so I am not gonna go anywhere else. Here's hoping some people in my town leap out and buy up the Falcon Elites before saturday.

I went to my local bestbuy today and they had 2 Xbox 360 elite game of the year bundles. So I checked both of them and one was a zepher (16.5a) and one was a falcon (14.2a). I can see they restocking a falcon but a zepher? Hope to get a jasper elite soon.

That's just not right.  Not right at all.  Slapping a Zephyr Elite in a brand new bundle box, knowing it will probably croak, is just wrong.

I just picked up a Jasper console at a best buy. It was the only one in the lot, out of about 12 consoles. The girl who was working let me open up the box and see the power connector and as soon as i saw it i knew it was a jasper because of the split socket Lot # 0846X Team:FDOU MF Date: 11-14-08 PSU: 175 (didn't get a 150 PSU) Power Rating: 12.1A

Those Arcade Jaspers have been out so long that finding them seems to be fairly easy.

The Pros take a little more searching.

The Elites require you to hijack ships coming from China. I bet those Somali pirates have a warehouse full of Elite Jaspers.

It was a Pro

Went by Best Buy and checked 3 GOTY Elites. All were 837.

Keep posting updates for every elite you find. Hopefully the Falcons and Zephers start to clear out and we can get some Jaspers.

I just received my XBOX 360 PRO 60 today. Ordered it from DELL. I guess I got lucky. The power connector is the split socket type. It was  Lot # 0846X Team: FDOU,  MF Date: 11-15-08,  PSU: 175 (didn't get a 150 PSU) Power Rating: 12.1A. It appears to be a Jasper.
