ARE YOU CRAZY? Def Jam Vendetta was a fail. It was good for it time but it wasnt th good absolutely no character customization. I loved Def Jam Fight for NY I beat it like 20 times. It had an awesome story mode and crap. I just bought Def Jam ICON [well got for christmas from sister] and I love it. It is really nice but Def Jam has better storyline. They didn't take out tthat, they changed crowd into Hazards liek the gas station, cars etc, and the weapons r sorta cheap.. But in icon so far there aren't enuf cutscenes for a story... And I hate how u get a girlfriend but u can't dump her for a new one. I got first one that asked for like 10000$ stuff so i just decline her requests til she dumps me. The next one doesn't ask much and is better but they dumped me same time lolXD. Now Im wit Platinum and some girl i 4get naem of thts spanish and good.

I bought it on clearance a few months ago for 6 dollars brand new. I should have realized there was a good reason it was that cheap. I still consider it a loss of 6 bucks. Game is terrible altogether and it amazes me it was made by the same company as Def Jam FFNY.  This tops the list of the worst game I ever spent money on. Here's to hoping for BC Def Jam FFNY, or even the classic to download...

It's unfortunate but EA has ruined more great games than they have created. They bought burnout and took out the crash mode...bought the rights to the NFL so no other games can even try to compete...and this one..../facepalm

I completely agree that Icon isn't nearly as good as FFNY but it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I've only had it for a few days and only paid $9 for it. I might be more disappointed if I'd paid $60. I do miss having weapons, blazing specials and the ability to run. But to me once you figure out how the controls work, the right analog stick is a neat way to add to the move set. I hope that EA does have another go at the Def Jam series and puts back all the things we like about the previous games.

As for the guy who said the right stick should never be in a fighting game, how do you effectivly play Fight Night without using the right analog? With the button scheme, you can't throw haymakers and are constantly swapping back and forth between blocking/parrying and punching...

I have commented multiple times and I will not stop untill I see action because I agree with you and no this game was not fun to me it was fustraiting because I say to myself when playing its def jam so I try to run at my opponent and the people move like father time all of them, yeah I like the unedited music but i would rather play FFNY with no audio at all then to play this with every song in the world non edited and a system that updates it with every new song as soon as theyre recorded.

I say we start a petition or somthing to have FFNY available as a backwards compatable game

Im actually quite glad they closed down the studio that made Icon. They ruined an amazing franchise by making it "next gen" ready. Too much fight night, not enough home arcade style fighting The only thing better about this game was the graphics as well as the facial customization.

I guess the 360 was bound to get tech demos for games, its just sad that Def Jam had to be one of them.

I agree with you SOO FRESH. This game is atrocious compared to FFNY. even when not compared to anything...it's still atrocious. The thing that got me hooked on FFNY was the fighting style, I had never seen anything like it and I absolutley hate rap but the game is awesome.

Worst game ever.
