Man, I could not believe the way many acted when Matthew came in to at least provide an update! This is not a normally cruised forum by us, since it is not normally a problematic forum, but maybe I need to actually be here more often after seeing this.
I'm going to lock this thread because, quite frankly, I got tired after an hour of deleting posts, still having more to do. If Matthew wants to repost this information later, he is welcome too ... and of course, even though the thread is locked, it can still be read by anyone.
I want to leave you with a bit of information though;
- The publisher, not the developer, is the only body that can determine when something is to be produced.
- While Microsoft actively discourages any publisher or developer from announcing dates, they don't always necessarily listen. It is for this exact reason why it is discouraged.
Microsoft has the final word on whether something is ready or not for posting on Live ... nobody else. If the product fails certification in any way, it goes back to the drawing board. All Matthew did was provide an update ... he doesn't necessarily even have anything to do with the build, and most likely has no idea when it will be ready ... chances are even the developers do not know that (depending on what is wrong), but who knows.
- Being upset about a failed release/launch is one thing, but the way you handled it was horribly wrong, in many cases multiple violations of ToU etc occurred. You are free to discuss this game in this forum, but you have to abide by the rules governing posts. Flaming, Riot inciting, Profanity, and personal attacks all violate ToU and are bannable offenses. Act appropriately and you will usually get a response from developers or publishers for even the most negative of submissions.
- We try to encourage publishers and developers to participate here and interact with the gamers. Many times you don't even have a clue who they are because they lurk and watch the feedback without participating. The ones that are good enough to come forth are here to try and answer questions etc, but outbursts and acting as you did in this thread are reasons why the majority stay out. Act as mature adults and we will see better interaction with those types of people.
GhostGundam is trying to provide insight on ways to act and not to act in a forum. I suggest you take his guidance to heart as he is one of the best members on the forums today, where helping and proper ettiquette etc are concerned. You can actually express dislike, anger, and the fact you are upset about something w/o resorting to the tactics that we saw in here.
Guess I don't need any disclaimer here any longer.
