Same here with the Pikes Peak rating, low 2000's I think after NUMEROUS attempts to beef up my odometer.  Finally got my 1000 miles after 1400 miles.  Still fun though, I'll keep playing it just to try to win the events on pro, completed career on amateur, then pro-am.

I FINALLY got it. I've been racing Pikes Peak so much that I just got tired of restarting so I raced all the way to the top, than back down and back to the top... I sometimes raced 300km on only 1 turn :)

I'm in. Funny story: 15 min ago I was driving Peaks Pike just to get some miles. After a while I got so sick of it I went on here to see if there were any "tricks" to get it faster, I found a mile to kilometer converter to see how many miles I had driven (mine counts in kilometers) and subtracted the estimate amount of miles in the championship races.. I thought "what the ***" and just loaded a rallycross game before I shut down my 360. 10 ft into the game the achievement pops. yay!

My first 1000/1000 game btw. Bioshock is next. :)

Got the last RALLY achievement by beating a chap named Bergfex37 (Austria) in my first race of the day.  He then soundly beat me for the next 4 or 5.  Guess I wasn't concentrating after earning the 1000 gamer score but felt obligated to let him earn his too.

Kudos to all -- DiRT "Driving Game of the Year" is now on the shelf.
