I most definetly agree with Shenmue 1 and 2 on the marketplace. I bought a copy of 2 at my local gamestop for $5 and was definetly a bargain for a guy who never played it on the original x-box. This would be a great idea for those who have not experienced this awesome game yet.

Here, here.  Last year I bought a second hand XBox (original, not 360) and early this year I stumbled accross Shenmue 2 for it in a local shop.  Couldn't believe it, especially as it came with the movie as well. (Thanks, whoever left it in!).  Even more unbelievable was that it worked on my 360, which I only bought a couple of weeks ago.  Thank you M.S. and thank you Sega.  Now please bring us Shenmue 3.  Listen to the people!

Yeah ill back this ;) Is shenmue II on the Back compat list? I havent tried it on my 360.
I still have my shenmueII but uno if its on live it might give Yu somthing else to look at in 2010 and say hmm.... 10 year anniversary.... I think its time to finish the story.

I, Lord Y, do hereby declare my intention of supporting any future efforts in bringing Shenmue to the public. While I think of it, too, it might be awesome to put up the movie version of the original Shenmue on the marketplace. Just to give people the full story (or, at least, the full in-game story).

Come on, Xbox 360. Let's see some Shenmue, ya ninnies!

Ya gotta be online before you put in the disc in the console, but, once you do, it'll download the backwards compatibility update. Once it re-starts, you'll be hangin' in Hong Kong in no time!

I would buy this in an instant. Shenmue and Shenmue 2 are the best games ever made. Nothing else comes close. I own every version released for all 3 regions, including the original signed by Yu Suzuki which Sega Europe sold on their site for a limited time.

 

Hopefully this would lead to Shenmue 3. I would kill for that game.

Count me in, even though I already have it, Shenmue awareness is something that needs to be addressed by Sega and Microsoft. since they both worked hard getting S2 on the xbox.

The Shenmue series was one of my favorites. Definatly count me in.

Adding in that my 800 points is ready to be dropped for a port of Shenmue II!

I remember the day i got shenmue with its 4 epic disk case. The cinematics were awesome then the fish in the pond was so awesome. I spent 1hr exploring the house and then i set off the road.

Shenmue 3 should use UNREAL ENGINE 3 (its cheap and well knows how to make games)

That little girl thanks him because Chai returns, and in an attempt to stop Ryo, takes her hostage. Ryo kicks Chai's *** and kills him once and for all, saving the little girl. I'm pretty sure that's what happens, I seem to remember seeing that in one of the Shenmue comics that you can unlock on Shenmue II for the Xbox.

signed the petiton. Yes, Shenmue is one of the greatest series made. It even started the QTE events that most games still use today. Having owned Shenmue I and II on DC (PAL version ftw) I would gladly pay to replay both again since my DC makes this horrible sound when I try to play anything and my Xbox version of II never works. Also like someone said before I would actually like my move skills and items go from 1 to 2.
