I was just thinking the other day how cool it would be if they released goldeneye on live with multiplayer. I started searching the web for info on goldeneye and I saw news that it was coming to live. I did more searching and realized it was canceled. I wanted to cry! Please microsoft do whatever it takes to get goldeneye to live!

Im pretty curious to see what it would be like with dual sticks, and how much of an auto aim there would be?  Does anyone know if rare was planning on giving the game a slight graphical upgrade?

I beleive the only upgrades where added online multiplayer, and the ability to render at a higher resolution.  No actual graphical upgrades though.  Straight nostalgia style.

Well, this might prolong the life a bit, assuming everyone hasn't already seen it.  Search youtube for the Goldeneye XBL video.  Then discuss amongst yourselves.

You could play like that using two N64 controllers.  It was the best control method for the game, imo.

Why would nintendo let microsoft release one of their best 64 games on xbox live??? It makes no sense and nintendo will not let it happen because I can gaurrentee that it will be on the wii in the virtual console. Why do I say this??? Because nintendo owns the rights and will keep it for themselves.. You all are just too funny thinking that nintendo would let this happen when goldeneye is a perfect fit for the virtual console and not microsofts xbla so the wii it will only be the only place for you to get goldeneye...so close this thread its a waste for nintendo will never let it on xbla so just give it a rest. If you want it that bad buy a 64 or a wii because a 360 is never gonna get it.

The only problem i would have with nintendo releasing Goldeneye on wiiconnect is that we will only get a direct port of the N64 game. Don't Get me wrong i loved goldeneye and it a great game all by itself but i think it would really benefit from online play and all that comes with it.

Goldeneye for XBLA! I have a simple solution, let Nintendo have the original untouched N64 version for their Virtual console, and give us the updated version with online multiplayer and online co-op for XBLA.

It's almsot completed, Activision was gonna publish it, Reggie over at Nintendo supported the deal with Microsoft, but Nintendo Japan (threatened to cut all ties with Activision, so Activison then whimped out and cancelled it.

I think Activision should have ignored Nintendo and release it anyways as a big FU to Satoru Iwata who is now the biggest douche in the universe.

we know it was being made and was almost done....fight for it microsoft ...please...dont just let it go away after it was almost completed....it will be the best selling arcade game...the most played arcade game...i know that for a fact!

please microsoft, due whatever it takes with nintendo to release it....also why not come public about it? gamers already know about it...screenshots leaked...wont harm anything coming public...it will help nintendo consider aggreeing if you did! Petition reached over 22,000signatures so you know gamers want it...please microsoft =)
