Re: I just got an update!

Got the patch saturday night and played lag-free for 3 hours. However, on one game, 2Fort, we had 16 players (awesome game but it was incredibly hard to get any offence going). Suddenly, I got the 'host disconnected message' and everybody got kicked off & could not connect back. That was annoying because it was a good bunch of guys, which is sometimes hard to find. May or may not be patch related.

Other than that, long live the Patch! Even though it's not the one we really NEED.

Re: I just got an update!
It's great how the xbox community is left to figure out what this patch does on our own, I really have to thank VALVe/Microsoft for no announcements, news or even a list of fixes. This will teach us how to live in independance and work like a team unlike the spoon fed PC community, I mean, a list of fixes? how dare they. Real men only get 1 patch a year and no news whatsoever.../sarcasm >.>

Hooray!  Thanks for uploading the list Kerry.  But my friend did some testing and found out that Medics and Dispensers heal 2x as slow now after the patch.  Did you miss something when you made this list or is it just our imagination?

The rate of healing has been reduced to 50% of it's prepatch rate.

That's one question that I'd love to know the answer to, was the healing nerf intended or an accident? It pretty much killed the medic.

Re: I just got an update!

Medics (and engies) took major hits with the healing rate change.

However, hosting is running smoother than ever, with no ghost players.  The new netcode alone makes the patch excellent for me.

Now if wall glitches had been fixed and new maps added, the patch would have been perfect.

QFT!  I really don't care about CTF_Well or Badlands (I'm sure they're cool though).  I'd much rather play Goldrush.  It's almost like a mix between Dustbowl and Gravel Pit and I love those 2.  Plus, it looks like the path for the mine carts can split so that'll change the game pace up a bit.

As for the Doc, I think they nerfed him because having a Medic and a power class (Soldier or Demo) made the medic buddy quite powerful.  I and a few others were able to take them down but I guess the majority of gamers couldn't so, he gets a little axed there.  I never liked playing the Medic so this patch only cemented down that fact.

I didn't. It sounds like they missed quite a few problems. Maybe there will be another update soon?

Thats bull *** =(. The PC version still heals at its normal rate. So why does the xbox version get shafted? Xbox version waits forever to finally get a patch and they get shafted with a healing nerf...

I also think the healing nerf really sucks.  Why, of why, did they feel the need to do that?

I always thought the classes were really well balanced (with the exception of the soldier having a bit too much health) and they just had to go and ruin it.  The medic was always fun for me too.

Weren't people upset about the rumble? Well anyway, I don't mind it, and it can be turned off anyway. It's nice to know when you actually hit them so you're (I'm) not all "wtf i hit him" and he was untouched or barely touched. It's similar to an update for the pyro on PC (pyro had [has] hit detection issues or some-such with the flamethrower and a sizzle sound was added).

People were actually upset over the rumble?  "Oh please".  It's the second coolest feature in this game!  I love shooting a rocket and feeling the controller shake or firing off my Minigun at a bunch of babies.  I do wish that the minigun rumble was stronger because, after all, this is a minigun which "weighs 150 kilograms and fires $200 custom tooled cartriges at 10,000 rounds per minute".  From something that does that, I'd expect more of a kick to it.

Yeah, I like the rumble. I have only played 2 short pick-up games with the patch (today). I played as pyro and engineer, and briefly as demoman. I liked the rumble when the engie hits his buildings with the wrench.

Yeah I wont even get on the 360 version anymore. I generally play the pc version anyways, but I play 360 version with friends that dont have pc version. Now I'm trying to convince them to get the pc version because this patch is wack. The dispenser doesnt heal that slow on the pc so its BS that they did that with the 360 version.
