When I went to check to see how many kills I needed, I already had 29 kills from the rope. That alone should have unlocked the achievement, let-alone the fact that I had easily at least another 20-25 kills from other campaign missions, Terrorist Hunt, and multiplayer.

Is anyone else having this problem?

But I did experience the PFC achievement glitch, which sucks because it'll look dumb when I get Officer (probably tonight) and have PFC after it on my list. Oh well, it happens. I can't stop playing this game because of the order of my achievements (although I'd prefer it to look right), it's too good of a game.

Yeh, I look stupid when I have 970 gamerscore. I need a vision camera to get 20G but I don't want to reset my elite for 10G.

ya, people who beat it on realistic first seem to get it. I beat it on normal and then realisitic by myself and cant seem to get it.

Just noting that I have this problem as well, beat it on coop casual with my uncle first...then went back and played the first part solo and the rest coop on realistic and no luck getting this achievement (even though all scenes show realistic as complete).

Yes, I believe you do. But I've never performed the workaround personally. Try following the link after "Source:" to double check.

Also, after getting the achievement, you can reboot the game with your primary profile and you still get the XP/equipment bonus on top of what you've already done.
