No, I never posted that - I honestly have no idea about the katana and how it will, or will not be used.  All I know for sure is that melee is a stab, that is all I have definitively posted :-)

Any word on if you can play splitscreen in online multi-player? I saw splitscreen co-op confirmed, but haven't seen anything about mp.

Perks, eh? Well I guess I'll have to pass on the multiplayer at least. I might get it for the Single player though, that does look pretty good.

Once I saw the words martyrdom and Juggernaut I went down to a 50% buy. I didn't want this game any way like COD4, but looks like its a spit image but in a different time zone. Do you honestly think that you have to put martyrdom in your game to make people play it? And I thought Treyarch was the best COD maker, I might be wrong now. This is highly depressing. Once I tell my friends about this there is going to be at least 10 people not buying this game.

I don't work for Treyarch and as a fellow gamer... dude, you're really not going to get a game because of 2 perks?  I mean, if you don't like the gameplay, then sure - understandable... but to toss it aside due to a couple of perks?... ehhh.  To each his own though :-)

You just have to be careful because that question can have a few meanings depending on interpretation.  Split screen MP as in local versus, or splitscreen MP as in "Guest" play on Live (think Halo)... see what I mean ;-)

COD4 was ruined by martyrdom alone, me and all of my friends actually went back to games like Halo3 believe it or not lol. At least in COD5 the maps might be wide open so the martyrdom kids whont be as bad, lets only hope... I don't want to have to sprint from a grenade everytime I get a kill, it was even worse when I mowed down like 6 guys with my SAW. It was like an artillary barage with all the martyrdom.

Not that fact that it killed me, it was having to click left analog after every kill. When you average over 25 kills a game think how bad it was.

For the bold, that actually happened more than like 3 times a game. I was a beast at COD4, check my stats, but the constant martyrdom just fed me up. It was sickening to play the multiplayer and seeing 95% of the community using it, along with the M16.

I completley agree with you, this game is starting to be come more and more un playable and un enjoyable. With the spawning in front of your enemy numerous times, all those annoing perks that no matter how good you are, most of the time you cant counter it. Not complaining just trying to say that I am hoping cod 5 will take me away from this game.

Me and my buds are a few of the lucky ones. We got out of COD4 when only 95% of the community was using martyrdom, I can only imagine how bad it is now. But yeah I already know COD5 WILL be better, but it's going to suffer the same fate and will eventually get just as old. I hope not, but I fear the worste... Treyarch needs to actually listen to the people that want to play this game and have fun and play it for a very long time.

Kill streaks should be taken out of the game, they encourage camping and hiding. They should be awarded for reaching a certain number of points instead, regardless of deaths in between.
