depends on format you render it as I know WMF and AVI do offer high quality.  Quality also depends on on how you got it rigged like I said eariler get the s-video cord for 360 will improve it alot. also watch out for the load you put on your PC while captureing the less strain you put on it the less frames it misses. So turn off all program you don't need.

once you do get the quality high enough for the option to appear while linking to in forums and such if you add "&fmt=18" at the end of a youtube address it put it in HD for them. Or just get a better video host youtube compresses everything even more after they get it

example:regular http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55gw6YBjNM4

             high quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55gw6YBjNM4&fmt=18

             better host http://www.myffowvideos.com/play.php?vid=134

^ another shameless plug of my new vid just uploaded today^

if you click the better host your help me win a contest *hint, hint Wink [;)] Wink [;)]*

What is the size of the video you uploaded to these sites? It looks like both of them are scaling or stretching to some degree. When I grab the FLV from the last link, it is 400x304 (basically 4:3) but it is being shown at 640x400, which is a 16:10 ratio. The youtube ones look even weirder, with letterboxing, because the source mp4 is 480x320 or 16:10 also.

I upload 480x320 in WMV format. It also might depend on your computer moniter. It will vary depending on 4x3 or 16x9.
It's not the monitor, I'm referring to the actual size of the video file and the size it's shown as on those web pages. It's just really weird what these sites do to the video frame. BTW, the HQ on youtube does look quite a bit better than the standard.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to the Capture Card.

killsvv1tch- mine was formated at 4:3 the myffowvideo.com only does widscreen. Didn't notice anything different about youtube though.

Decode- the offical xb version retails at $29.95 but I got a off brand at gamertraders for $15. the only problem I see for some is the audio side of the capture since it's still only one input. I use headphones though the optic plug in that back so it's not a problem for me.

Open up your file in WMM.

When you are finished editing click "Save to Computer"

Up the MBs really high for better quality.

It will be ready for upload.

that didnt work

i had the same problem that my friend had, i had to split it up in parts, one part is teh first song, then the second song, then last song, so i saved each part separately, then imported part 1 and part 2, saved them together, then started a new project, imported that movie, then imported part 3, and saved them together

my vid is uploading to youtube right now

What would be the simplest, cheapest way for me to record with my Macbook?  note: I have no camcorder.

OR...  Could I use my Macbooks iMovie video editor with Dazzle?

Dazzle line of products are PC/Windows only. You need to be very careful when buying hardware/software for a Mac, because unless you in the Apple store, a vast majority of things are made with PCs/Windows in mind and only a certain amount of those also include Mac support. This is due to PCs/Windows being the vast majority of the home computer market. Can you capture video?
