Can you name another sport that is as popular and envokes as much passion?? You can't can you?

Football fans on the whole view going to games more like an act of worship more than just to support, the game itself has always brought out the worst in people. To say it's all down to jealousy is naive and spoken like a Man Ure fan. I was hating them back in 89, what was i jealous of back then?? For me the hatred is not all football, geography and history play a part too. 

Man Ure have achieved what they have because they were in a much better position financially than any other club at the start of the prem, it took clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool 7 or 8 years to catch up. Certain clubs are rivals with each other, deal with it. Liverpool will always hate Man Ure and vice versa, same with Leeds and Man City. It's part of football, always has been always will be.

There is a one team i know that only plays players from the surrounding area and they don't do too bad. So maybe that might be the way to go. That team is Bilbao by the way.

Look at it this way, I live in Yorkshire, when the majority of the local people deem themselves Man Ure supporters, and have no interest in their local club/s. I think that is disgraceful, these are the sort of turncoats and fair weather fans who buy a replica shirt with the most high profile player at the club time and time again.

The worst thing is the fact that there is a group of people who claim to support more than one club. Since Hull have gone up the amount of people who sport a ManUre shirt and a Hull shirt has almost doubled. This is disgraceful, people would rather hedge their bets and support 2 teams, so that if one weekend one team does badly, they can claim to support the other.

I work for a company called PA Sport, we work for Sky Sports News and provide all football results to 99% of the world media channels. In the office in which I work, there are 15 mancunians. 1 supports Manchester United, even though Man City are closer, also his dad supports Man City. Now why do you think he supports Scum? Of the around 130 or so Yorkshire folk, around 70 or 80 support scumchester, the other 50 or so are divided between Leeds/Hull and other clubs. And why do you think these tossers support a Lancashire team?

If more people supported local clubs, and stop glory hunting, we would never have problems with over paid superstar dickheads in the Premier League, it's only because stupid amounts of stupid people pour millions of pounds into a dirty cheating bunch of American Tossers pockets, that combined with their sense of arrogance and a half wit manager who won't admit defeat, leaves only one option: to compete with these teams is to spend stupid amounts of money. So the moral, I actually am looking forward to Man City v Scumchester derby day, and seeing those tossers in red get a good pasting. Same goes for when they play Chelsea and Liverpool.

To say it's all down to jealousy is naive and spoken like a Man Ure fan. I was hating them back in 89, what was i jealous of back then?? For me the hatred is not all football, geography and history play a part too. 

Man Ure have achieved what they have because they were in a much better position financially than any other club at the start of the prem, it took clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool 7 or 8 years to catch up. Certain clubs are rivals with each other, deal with it. Liverpool will always hate Man Ure and vice versa, same with Leeds and Man City. It's part of football, always has been always will be.

There is a one team i know that only plays players from the surrounding area and they don't do too bad. So maybe that might be the way to go. That team is Bilbao by the way. 

 

American football is just as popular and has just as passionate fans. But those fans share the stands and are not segregated. They enjoy the sport for the spectacle that it is. They appreciate the opponent and also their opponents fans. That is what sport is all about.

You say that Man Utd's acheivements are purely down to having more money than the other clubs. So, lets look back at when the Premiership started. Can you remember the players that Man Utd had back then? Most of those players were British and young players who had come through Man U's youth training scheme.

Players such as Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Butt, Sharpe and the Neville brothers all were young players who hardly cost anything, and most of which came from Man Utd's youth training system. They were not bought for huge amounts. In fact, the only player I can think of back then who was bought for a huge amount was Cantona.

After that, for many years those same youngsters went on to win preceeding seasons. Some of those players are still in the squad today. Now tell me how many players foom the other top teams are still in their squads after being there since 16 or younger?

The simple reason why people hate Man Utd is the age old British problem - we don't like anybody who is successful. Instead of patting them on the back, we would rather shoot them down.

American football is no where near as popular and only a few teams have a real passionate support, even they don't come close to the passion seen at football games. Man Ure's team when the prem started didn't have any of those young players, they came through a few years later. Even when they did emerge they still had quite a few players who were purchased for substantial amounts. I can't believe your asking how many other top teams have players in the squad from 16 or younger!!?? You're meant to be an Arsenal fan!! Most of your squad has been there since they were kids, plus Man Ure's players such as Scholes joined the club at 16 or 17 after being lured from other clubs, similar to Arsenal.

They've been very good and i respect them but that doesn't mean i have to like them and I'm not British I'm English.
