Yes, because Velvet Assassin wasn't a neat/new IP that tried to resurrect some much needed new life into the almost bland/mindless genre that is World War II.

Some say, life here began out there.

Re: WHO Will buy the Sequel and why?Two Worlds
After playing the demo right before it's release I determined never to play Two Worlds. However, recently, with nothing new to play I found a copy for $9. The beginning of the game was a reminder of everthing I hated in the demo, but after a few hours and some trial and error I found the gem burried under all its flaws.

I have been glued to the game for several days now and while I still think it's deeply flawed, I can't seem to put it down. Essentially it comes down to this. It's a great game with not near enough polish. If you think graphics are more important than gameplay, or a few stutters in the frames per second are enough to kill your enjoyment Two Worlds is not for you. If you like games because they are fun, then give it a try. BTW, the insanely bad voice acting is one of the things I like, as well as the old yet funny dialect. Not at first mind you, but it grows on you.

I would be disappointed if the sequel didn't improve on the original IP, however given the scope of the game and the type of issues it suffers i'm confident that it will be a much better product. Especially after the feedback they got from this one. BTW, one of the things that bothered me the most was the use of words or phrases like "Outlander" or "You're nearly a legend around here", because they are definite infringments on my all time favorite game... TES3: Morrowind.

I'm absolutely going to be looking into the sequel, but I can't say it's a must buy. Not until I see something substantial first.

P.S. for what it's worth i'm 32 and my favorite games are sandbox, open world adventures with lots of freedom and choices.

I enjoyed Two Worlds, I think the game had potential and just did not have enough polish to see what a good game it can be, I defiantly  think that if they take the obvious mistakes from the first fix it and add more of the two worlds game mechanics and the sequel treatment (more quest, better graphics, etc) it will be a good RPG

I would like too, although the game does itself no favours at all, comming out between Dragon Age: Origins, and Mass Effect 2 .

I am hoping for some improvements, specifically to navigating the journal. Fewer loading pauses, more interesting combat.
And a entirely new voice cast :)

Re: Betreff: Re: WHO Will buy the Sequel and why?Two Worlds
In all fairness the basic game was fantastic i loved combining weapons and being able to range - mage and meele. Also i loved the monsters.

But i must say the Online was disgusting and i enjoyed it when it worked but it was just a shambles when you would be necrod* to death. An the lag that was in two worlds of its own for me even the Single player lagged if you jumped 3 or more times you would be flying.

This game Failed and i don't think they gave enough back to me as a gamer in terms of fixing the game too . it took ages for a patch to come out and it still failed. i will be buying TW2 About 2 weeks after it comes out when it costs £15.

Yeah, same here. RPGs are my favorite genre, FPSs are my second. Unless they come out with an un-censored version of World War 2, then I am not buying.(unless I have extra money)

Re: WHO Will buy the Sequel and why?Two Worlds
I will buy the sequel, but it depends when it is released. If it is released around 2010 Christmas/holiday then I will not buy it. A lot of the games that I was looking forward to during 2009 holiday were removed to 2010.(BioShock 2, Alan Wake, FF13, etc.......) Also I may just wait for the game to drop down to around 20-10$. Personally I never experience any of the bad issues that most people had with Two Worlds. I thought it was fine, but the voice acting was very generic. The things I would like to see in the new Two Worlds: better control system when riding a mount, make swimming more realistic, make the spells useful and fun to use!(every single fantasy game that I play, the spells are always crap! Maybe this game could make them more appealing to me, despite the usual healing spells are always useful) better character customization options:(different gender, races, etc), a more appealing story with a longer main quest!, bigger world!, more dungeons, caves, houses/huts, temples, major cities, etc........., MAKE THE VOICE ACTING SOUND REALISTIC, NOT COMPUTER VOICES!!!!!!, more side quests, and that is about it for now.............
Overall, Two Worlds is a fun, easy, addicting action rpg that every hardcore rpg fan, loot fans, and level up fans should play!Smile [:)]

Re: WHO Will buy the Sequel and why?Two Worlds
I'll probably get it. Two Worlds had a lot of good points, that I consider marred by rather bad dialogue even if you ignore the fact that the voice acting is seemingly delivered by Renaissance Fair rejects, haphazard tacking on of quests and a game engine that clearly was not optimized for the 360. Nonetheless, bits of the story showed promise, the game world was large and expansive, and there was quite a bit to do. IMO the mistake was Reality Pump trying too hard to be like Oblivion, when a smaller, better detailed and designed world with more immersion and quality control would have been much better for a first title. If they've learned from their mistakes and successes, IMO TW2 has the potential to be a very good RPG.
