I like this game and I do want to play the Hoth level. But I don't need an art book, lithograph or a tin box that badly that it'll make me buy it all over again.

But they are offering more than $40 in total value besides the game. The litograph, art book and tin can easily cost $20 just by themselves and then you get 2 brand new DLCs that you never bought separately and on XBL they'd be sold at $10 each for $20 more.

That essentially makes the game free so they are NOT making you buy the game again they are giving you another free copy and 3 free DLCs when you buy the 2 new DLCs and the awesome SW stuff packed with them.

I can fully and with absolute confidence say that ANYONE who turns this down does NOT deserve to EVER be able to buy or play the Hoth level. I sincerely hope LucasArts keeps the Hoth level exclusive to the Ultimate Sith Edition forever.

It makes me extremely sad to see such ungrateful people.

It's not so much that I'm ungrateful, I'm just being practical. I have no interest in a lithograph or the art book. They'll be looked at once and then put away. As for the tin, I am really not bothered.
That said, ordinarily I would buy this. I am a big Star Wars fan and, if buying the new edition was the only way to play the new level, I would be very tempted. However I'm not in the same position I used to be in. I'm unemployed, married and with a kid on the way. A year or so down the line I might well buy it but right now the extras aren't enough to seal the deal for me.

It doesn't matter what the new game comes with, when I buy a game, I'm paying to play the game. I've already bought the game, so why would I buy a whole new version of the same exact game with just one new level, since 2 of the new ones will be DLC. It's the principal of it all that matters...the Sith Edition is for those who previously have not bought the game before, and those who have bought and enjoyed the game should be able to download all the new levels as DLC. The people who suppoted this game from the start are getting the shaft here. We shouldn't have to buy the same exact game over again for just a brand new level.

Ungrateful...... Not quite. How about hey thx for making our game such a hit! The reason we are still employed is in large part because of you the fans who have bought our products. And we would like to continue to show our thanks by releasing more dlc and for those who haven't bought the game here's a package that will give you the full experience at a good price. Instead tho, we're going to c0rnh0le you and if u want this new dlc you have to buy the game and dlc you ALREADY bought again. Bad PR, and very UNGRATEFUL on the part of LA if u ask me.

My friend bought me the pc version of Street Fighter 4 so me and the group can play and because it works best on my pc on max settings. That's why you see the console version and the pc version.

I want my Hoth with a side of DLC!!!!!

Thats bad business. Who do they think made the game a success. Lets see Us!! the gamers. Definately signed!!! Why should we have to rebuy the game for just one level. The Jedi temple is already downloadable and they are suposed to release the Tattooine level as well. Just so everyone knows the new version of the game is NOT being released until November 3rd and they are stating the only way to get the Hoth level is to buy the game. $39.99 U.S!! I still believe they are releasing the Tattooine level on xbl as dlc. Hopefully soon. My only suggestion to Microsoft is that they make the game immediately available on for the "On demand" download. Even with all the new levels at 800 ms points each only comes out to $30 NOT $40.

It's not doing very well (it had 7 sigs when I found it).  I made posts about it at cheapassgamer, teamxbox, and originaltrilogy forums, but I didn't get very positive responses.  People complaining that the game itself is crap, that petitions are worthless, or that they'd happily buy the Sith Edition...  So, I was happy to see so many people here sharing my opinion, but we really should get lined up and counted on the same list.

FYI- The site doesn't require registration of any kind to sign.  I've been ready to sign online petitions before just to find out that they want me to create an account and send them way too much of my personal information.  This site asks for your name, your e-mail address, and your comments to LucasArts.

I signed the petition that xhonzi suggested it's the real deal linked to LA. Everyone interested should take the time to sign. All they need is a name and email. I used my gamer tag and email. Also to any that are interested I got the Tattooine level and beat it on Master level in about 45 minutes. Not that long, graphics are tight, but very different from the game as well as the Temple mission. In my humble opinion the Temple mission is 4-5 time better then the new installment. I hope they take the time with the Hoth level and dont rush it. I feel they rushed this one or maybe changed programers mid stream. Graphics are different almost painted instead of 3-D like the rest of the game. Very stagey looking. The acheievments were way too easy! NO challenge whats so ever.

Well, I'll probably be considered a hypocrite, but that's how it's gonna' be.  First off, I also agree with most of the people here in regards to the Hoth Level. 

There's absolutely no question that LucasArts, and whomever else is in charge of pricing, is using this Sith Edition as a blatant cash grab to ultimately sell more copies.

I can see the conversation now between the Devs and Marketers...

Marketer : "Here's an idea, why don't we capitalize on the huge success of 'The Force Unleashed' by re-releasing a Game of the Year Edition, with all the extra DLC included?"

Devs : "That would be great.  We can now enjoy the fruits of our labor even more, even though the only added content with be a few extra Missions."

Marketer : "We've also been thinking, why not add an exclusive Mission that will only be available through this Sith Edition, instead of releasing this add-on through LIVE Marketplace?"

"This way, we can completely alienate all the dedicated Star Wars Gamers, who ultimately made our Title a raving success in the first place."

"After all, any true Star Wars Fan will need to play this Hoth Mission, and will gladly shell-out even more cash for something they already own, solely to get their hands on that exclusive level."

Devs : "Umm, you're in charge.  We just wanna' get paid.  If the customers get upset, then tough beans."

Marketer : "It's decided then!  Shun the consumers.  Have them pay full price for a single add-on Mission, which will never see the light of day as DLC."

Anyhow, I was clearly upset when I first heard this news and still am.  However, I will still be purchasing the Sith Edition regardless, only because I'm a hardcore collector that won't pass-up these Special Editions.

So yeah, I suppose I'm a hypocrite.
