the only problem i am having is the dialogue box is jumbled and gibberish. does anyone have advice to fix just that. dont say play it on regular xbox cus i dont have one.

I get to a point in the game, then at the exact same loading screen (when you go to mand. ruins on Dxun when you return their second time) it freezes every time, making the game unwinnable. what a huge waste of my time. Im going to try to delete the patch to make the game b/c so that it has to re d/l the patch, maybe that will help something, or it might make it worse. i never had the text problem, but i did have audio and severe frame rate problems. if it cant even beat the game i am going to be severely angry at microsoft.

Can't find a way to un download the patch, guess this is really it then. ive tried everything i can think of, and due to this I cant advance in the story. bummer.

Im Experiencing a new problem from what I've read so far in this thread. In KOTOR II I create a character and skip the prologue and then when I should awake in the medical tube my screen is black, I can get into the start menu and navigate around it, but once I go back the screen is still black, and I cant do anything.

i don't know about kotor 2 but in kotor 1 there is massive FPS issues and the sound just messes up every few seconds it completely kills the experience

I have absolutely no problems once I get the game to load, but it freezes probably 9/10 loads in a row. I've got about an hour total in game, but I've probably spent 5 hours just getting that far. And now I can't get past the load screen I'm on now.

i think i might have an answer for those of you who are looking for a download. put your game in your 360 after doing the back coplatability download so you can play the game on your 360. sign in to xbox live and start upyour game. when it tells you there is an update available download the update and that should fix some of the glitches cus i did it and my dialogue glitch is gone.

I have a new problem too.  With KOTOR 1 the framerate would slow down a lot during battle and I got the annoying audio sounds, but now with KOTOR 2 I'm to the point where I need to open the hangar bay doors to get to the ebon hawk and I can't access computer terminals or open footlockers or anything.  I can still run around and open doors that aren't locked.  I press the use button and nothing happens.  I used to be able to reboot my 360 and the problem would go away, but now it's not.  Is there anyone who knows what's going on?  I don't think I've downloaded the patch yet, so I guess that could be it, but it seems like the patch screws up the game even more from what this thread is saying.  Help please!

I am experiencing problems too and this is my first MS console so I can't exactly test it with an original Xbox. I'm borrowing KoToR 2 from a friend who finished it so I'm fairly certain it's not the disc. There are some audio problems like the shrieks and pops, but my biggest issue is that I'm now stuck. I was leaving Telos after meeting Atris at the secret Jedi hideout thing and right after the brief cinematic sequence with the Ebon Hawk taking off, it went to the load screen. Right after it finished loading, all I got was a black screen. The game is responsive though, strangely enough. I tried pushing buttons and the game responded with the corresponding sounds. I had a stealth belt equipped so the game would prompt me whenever I accidently triggered it, asking me if I wanted to go into solo mode. I can pause it and go to the menu, which is perfectly clear. Too bad I can't see anything else. I can save the game, but when I try to load the file, it never loads. The progress bar will stop. I've experimented a couple times to see if it was simply being slow. My patience ran out after 10-15 minutes. Any ideas?

Has anyone seen this?  I think there may be a problem with the emulator that I downloaded.  Is there a way to erase it and start from scratch and redownload the emulator?

After defeating the HK droids in the polar region, I dont get the cutscene with the handmaidens that tell you to put down the weapons. 

After this, i speak to everyone including Atris yet when I go to retrieve my friends they aren't in the holding cells!!!

Whats the issue here?  Anyone else came across this issue?

I have basicly the same thing its not to bad with my allies but when theres like 4 + enemys its just impossible and the worst of my problems are the loud noises like m speakers are goin to blow but KOTOR 1 has only a few problems and I played Fable and it worked fine it's KOTOR running bad for most of us!

Try reloading from an older game save. One thing about KOTOR is you should have several save files for your current game in different intervals. Basically if its not letting you advance with your party that's all you can do that I know of.

If you have an original Xbox that would be best. On the 360, it's hit or miss as to if it will play for people or not. Which sucks. Nintendo does it's backward compatibility nearly flawless. Why couldn't MS do it. We have the Wii and the cube games play on it very well. Oh well, the original Xbox's are pretty cheap now, I may pick one up.
