People love uphill battles. They want a challenge, they want that sweeter victory. You just want to make it fair like Tekken I supper. Which is fine. But so far you listed one match up. You don't they have to change the whole game around everyone having the same hp you must be mistaken. You listed one pro for one character so I wasn't enlightened. It's gonna be reduce that increase this then you're still at square one. Boring.
the challenge is in outsmarting your opponent and outplaying them. Evening out the HP's isn't eliminating the uphill battle, as i said, since most characters have different damage outputs/combo abilities. And like i said, i only listed one match up to save space, you think im really gonna write out a synopsis for all 25 character matchups? On the other side, you haven't given ANY reason why you think leveling the HPs is bad, so i wasn't enlightened either homey.
Im not saying you're wrong, or Im right, im just trying to compare notes/ideas. If you can think of some cons, i'd love to hear them, instead of criticisms of my ideas. And on the point you made, yes, people do like uphill battles, but I think more people probably like fair matches.
if you were playing call of duty and the opposing team had twice the amount of health, or took twice the amount of bullets to die would that be an "uphill battle", or a "lopsided" advantage? Considering you have all different weapons and loadouts (much like different move sets in SF4), it wouldn't be fair, and in most cases the team with the buffed HP will win.
