Nah I have the presitge pre-ordered at EBGames so I wouldn't even get it if Big W were selling it, but I might ring EB and see if they decide to sell it early.

Exactly. BigW is a huge seller of MS/Activision goods, so they'll get a talking to in order to try and make sure it doesn't happen again, and that'll be it.

I spoke to my mother earlier, because she was out xmas shopping for my brother and she asked what games he wanted, and I told her. She was at target(I think) and they were going to give her MW2 but they didn't have the case. The lady said something a long the lines off "We have it here but I can't find the case for this game anywhere, I can sell it to you but with no case". Of course she didn't buy it without the case but still.
