Re: RE: Re: 360 needs to support MM3

I agree, MM3 totally rocks, and now that I finally have Xbox Live I can't download the new cars :(

This one gets my vote for BC, I can't even believe its not yet.

I'm still confused tho, is it MS whos doing the BC or is it the game developers themselves who do it and give it to MS to add to the update?

Have any of you thought that the Backwards Compatable team isn't an army of 10 million people? The BC team only has so many people, and they can only work on oh-so many games at the same time.

Re: 360 needs to support MM3

I think we're all aware of that, but that doesn't mean we can't try and influence their focus.

It's always been stated they'd work on the "most popular" titles first, which is probably based on sales figures.

MM3 was bundled with the Xbox console for ages in a number of packs which in my mind means there's a lot of people out there with it, but it might not show up on their sales stats as "popular".

I've also read / heard in a blog cast that the back compat work is not done by a dedicated team, it's a lower ranking task owned by a team that no doubt have other priorites.

Re: 360 needs to support MM3

Well, to be honest, even if it were backwards compatable, the game would still be pretty much dead. I mean, a LOT of people were begging for Conker: Live and Reloaded to become BC, and it did. But everytime I play online, the game is still dead.

Same'll prolly go for this game too. But this game still rawks my sawks nontheless :D

I'd still play it, And im sure loads of people on these forums would too. Its just the longer they hold it off, the more dead it will become.

Re: RE: Re: 360 needs to support MM3
Problem is that other than Halo2, most XBL games for Xbox are dead.
I still have two original Xboxes and have logged online in multiple games only to get confirmation that XBL players are pretty much like locusts.

New game comes out, many buy the game and go online for a few months like ravenous insects gobbling up all the fun that can be had.

A few months later when another new hit comes out, the masses abandon the older game for new fields of play.

There are a small handfull of titles that keep players for over a year, but those are very few and very far between. I remember when TS3 came out how you could always find full rooms. Same with Ghost Recon. *** even on the 360, some earlier titles have had severe drops in online gamer support.

The group of friends I used to play with on original Xbox always came back to MM3 at the end of the night. New games came and went as you say, but MM3 remained out chill out game following mayhem in a FPS, Racer etc.

PLEASE MAKE THIS GAME BC!!! I just played it for the first time a few months ago at a friend's house and loved it. I was shocked when i found out i could buy it at gamestop for $5 but was so disapointed when I found out it would not work on 360. HURRY UP AND MAKE IT BC!! THERE'S LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO WANT THE SAME THING!

Me too. I decided to play it for the first time in a long, long while. There was not even one server on XBL, and I even hosted a game. Not one person joined after 30 minutes =[

Man, this game was so good to me back in the day. It was so much fun =[=[

Daaamn, I sold my Crystal xbox with MM3 like 2 days ago, I'm guessing that now I've got rid of it, then MS will put it on their BC list (wishful thinking) but at least I can buy it from our local Gamesation for £5 (or wait till it appears on XBOriginals.......NAAAH)

Wish I'd known you was on Bapabooiee, I could've done with a game of Hunter.

What do you think are the chances of it appearing on Xbox Originals?

Is there any way we can see what releases are coming?
