Ugh!!!!!
I am at 98.7% complete and this freeze is just an abomination!!! It's bad enough I am playing for almost an hour on this SuperStory, but to freeze for normal play?
Email I received from LucasArts:
"We have no other reports of issue with the game in the area you
mentioned. If you are experiencing issues with the disc in the Xbox
360, try the following:
Determine whether the disc that you are
using is the cause of the issue by exchanging the disk or try the game
in a different Xbox 360.
It may also be possible that the saved game in question is corrupted.
Save
games that are corrupted cannot be repaired. Please try loading a
different save game from an earlier point to see if this resolves the
issue. Try the steps below to prevent the problem from happening again.
1.
We generally suggest making fairly frequent saves and alternate save
game slots. This way, if one save game file goes bad, you can use one
of your other recently saved games. If you have used any cheats then it
may affect your save game.
2. We also suggest copying any save games to a memory card each day to keep a backup in case your Xbox 360 hard drive fails.
3.
Try clearing your cache of the game. Most games use the Xbox 360 hard
drive extensively to cache (copy and reuse) game data. This is done to
optimize all loading the game does. It has been found in rare cases on
some Xbox 360s that the cached data can get overly fragmented. This
exhibits itself by the game taking a long time to load anything from
menus, dialogue, sounds, objects, levels, and more.
To solve
this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game
is booting up. If any button is held while the game is loading, it will
clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one. Once you see the game
logo video, the game is already loaded, and the cache should have been
cleared.
Note, this does not affect your game in any way other than loading. You will not lose any saved data.
4. Delete any save files or games you no longer use from your Xbox hard drive.
Using these steps can help to prevent problems with saved games."
Um, are we all NOT telling Lucasarts support about this?
I'm sure they are not the actual programmers (see the Tt logo) and just licensee/distributor. But they are offering the support (and poorly).
I thank those that have offered solutions and will attempt.
-Don't shoot anything near area of Endor Stream Crossing
-make sure that ALL cross stream before you do (take character up and left so that they cross)
-or-
-be R2D2 and fly across stream
-allow yourself to die several times when exiting the DeathStar II
-make sure vibration is off
-turn bloom down below 5
But I want LucasArts to know, I will never get those minutes/hours
