I did this with my cousin on this profile account and a guest account but still didn't get it... Did i get glitched out of like some of the other achievements? Also, it is possible to get this achievement done with 4-person splitscreen?

Splitscreen Terroist Achievements:

There has been alot of controversy about these 2 achievements so I'm pinning this to alleviate the question being repeated over and over.  There was an error in the achievement name text.  The word Splitscreen should have been omitted.

1.  Veteran Hunter
Complete all maps of splitscreen Terrorist Hunt on Normal difficulty

2.  Elite Hunter
Complete all maps in splitscreen T-Hunt at Realistic difficulty

Most ppl including myself didn't understand the term splitscreen which suggest offline play with a buddy.

*note:  If you beat T-Hunt on Realistic first then you will automatically recieve the achievement for Normal.

Set Up:

From the main Menu Screen select single player,  then Terrorist Hunt,  then select map which Border Town will be the default and it doesn't matter about the order you play them,  then choose your difficulty level and the amount of enemies:  low-med-high.  You have No Respawns.  1 Life only.

I just wanted to let you all know so if anyone is wondering how to get them you can but I assure you it isn't easy.  I have only played the normal Terrorist Hunt. You have very little forewarning of terrorist appearence.  They will miraculously appear out of thin air and they are ruthless when it comes to flanking you. So don't think you can snipe from afar. Most will be shot at point blank range.  The enemies will usually be in the same spots but the amount of enemies will vary. Sometimes one, other times many more. One of the more challenging things is that you do not have your snake cam. You simply open a door and face whos there. Closing doors behind you is also futile.  If you have went thru the door then they can flank from that direction regardless, they will rappel as well.  Some maps you will get thru on the first attempt and others will make you pull your hair out as many times as you have to restart.  I found the Library map to be one of the most difficult.  I can only imagine how much tougher it will be on realistic. The main key is taking your time and always look 360 degrees at all times.  For the RB beginner it is a very good way to learn the maps and practice your quick firing reflex which will help you in online multiplayer play.

Just for your info and Good Luck!  You'll need it.

Sorry but thats bull... Completing the campaign no shield granted. But T-hunt is badly designed in the fact that they use random respawns. There is no point in wasting time just so you can feel amazing when you finally complete it. And the end of it all we all have the same achievement. As i see you have done COD2 on Veteran i will not question the fact you know the true meaning of frustration and using enginuity, just please don't put me down because i chose to use a shield on a couple of  t-hunts.

No. You will only lose for the map you are currently in.  Once you have finished a map you are done and it has been recorded.

They're not randomn respawns, but fixed dynamic respawns. All you need to do is be prepared for all the possible outcomes entering a different area and especially in each area find the right approach so they all come towards you, exposing themselves and allowing you to stay in cover. It might prove to be somewhat of a challenge, but it's worth it when you've taken 'm all down and feel as if you conquered an army.

again no. If it were fixed dynamic then if you did the same thing they would spawn in the same place.

No offense to anyone, but this is absurd. When they say split screen co-op, anyone would naturally think with some common sense that you would go to multiplayer and split screen terrorist hunt. For it to be in single player goes against all logic and Ubi used poor judgement, in my opinion.

I don't think anyone here can take offence unless they work for Ubi. I totally agree with you though. From my experience with them on this platform, being 2 games (GRAW and Rainbow), I don't think they have done a particularly good job with the achievements. GRAW's were completely ridiculous. They offered  little and often random points eg. 8 points for co-op mission. They also had stupidly difficult ones such as become climb the leader boards. How much time, on ranked alone, must you spend to do such a thing. I hope they revise their achievements for GRAW 2. This rainbow achievement was an unforgivable mistake. Worse is they haven't corrected it. I'm glad i did not go to the trouble of doing it in split screen else i'd be very angry. Other than this one i think every other achievement is solid with a satisfying amount of GS for what it is. They are also very achievable, except i can't do the host a 16 player match to save my life.

This does bring up the point of Achievements in all games and i do want to see the end of ludicrously long, or difficult tasks for such little GS. If its long, or hard i want something worthwhile.

Re: Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:
Good grief!

I just found out that changing my character has invalidated half of the maps I've completed, and seeing as I've only done the Border Town part of the single player, I wasn't able to choose the shield. And those babies are difficult where you're shieldlessly exposed...

Having the shield will probably make this achievement very easy to obtain now... must continue the campaign! I bought Vegas mainly for the multiplayer and thus have over 300000 experience, without ever getting far in the sinle player.

Re: Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:
A quick follow-up.

After beating Border Town a few days ago as my first map, with a character other than my current one, it took me about 20 tries (realistic).

I just passed that map first attempt, after using my newly-acquired shield, even with no sound. The shield makes a massive difference.

Re: Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:

I didn't find that the shield made much of a difference at all.  The shield basically protects you from the front... but 99% of the time I was killed by someone who surprised me from the rear or side.  I was rarely worried about the guys in front of me.

I suppose the shield could help when making your way through closed doors, but I usually stand to one side of the door, wait and listen for any triggered terrorists approaching from the other side (they like to walk out just after you reach a door), and if all is quiet I'll pop the door open while maintaining cover.

I started using the shield but found that I prefered the speed and flexibility that I had without it.
