Head set worked fine till one morning wake up wont turn on wont charge....go out and buy a new one and it has a charger that plugs in the console..... :-s not the one that plugs in the wall like my last one.....conspiracy

BTW: this was like a week or so b4 christmas had it for about 6 months

Yeah my wireles headset worked well for about 6 months, then BAM. disconects after about 15 minutes of use.

Yeah mine took 5 months and now it won't charge at all.  Just randomly one day no damage or anything.. Called support and guess what.  "Go buy another charger or headset depending on what's wrong"  REALLY?  I couldn't figure that one out on my own now could I?  Thank you so much support!

1498- after fully charging it wont turn on or charge bought 11/8/06 died 6-1-08 (roughly)  $64.19 down the drain. im sending it to the repair center anyway even though im not getting it back.

Synchronize problems - Headset connects with a new black Elite controller but not with my older white controller originally shipped with the XBox...

older controllers have problems with the headsets.   Use the elite controller or exchange the white one for a new one.  :P

#623 I know this forum is a year old but my wireless mic stopped charging and i still cant find the reason why. I changed the cable that charges it and still nothing. Charged a different wireless mic with that cable that wouldn't charge mine and that mic charged so its not the cable.

624 625 and 626 alll within five months, i f***ing hate these mics, and they're all the wired, im weary of buying a wireless mic but they're the only ones w/ a warranty, if anyone still looks at this post hasnt anyone figured out how to fix these things themselves yet? No joke, i bought one less than three weeks ago, it broke took it back, got a replacment, used it for the first time yesterday, its busted today. all with the static/humming problem, its really pissing me off since i refuse to play online coop games w/o it.  if anyone sees this and has any advice, hit up my gamertag

see my dead headset thread and re-post there please.  this has happened to a LOT of people.  the thread has gotten the attention of MS and they have contacted me a few times about this specific problem.  its hardware failure near the battery inside the headset.  nothing you can do.  some have lasted days and others months.  a very few have lasted over a year.

1503 Got mine late august and now its wont charge at all. Turns on for about a second so that i can see the battery level but then dies. 2 and half months is not good enough!!!

Works with both of my wireless controllers..original white and my new elite black controller. The wired controller won't work with it though..Won't synch or anything. Only channels 2-4

my headset will not charge was told on 12/24/08 would replace given reference #1088597013 and surprise when II called today sorry out of warranty after spending hour on phone. The rep kept on insisting that they needed my console ID to replace my headset than came back and told me out of service. Support is a laugh they need more people that are familiar with the product that there are supposed to be supporting.  Tongue Tied [:S]

Sorry to hear about your experience MoVeMenT.

We need your console serial number for registration and replacement needs. However, if you were outside the 90 day express warranty we have for such acessories, then we would have been unable to replace your headset. However, please make sure that you did all of the steps we have listed in the following article to make sure all troubleshooting suggestions were tried.

lol.  you should see my thread with almost 30 pages of users with dead mics.  all sorts of time periods from days to weeks to months.  90 days is a joke, and just like the console, soon your support people will probably get the memo to replace these outside 90 days.  MS will either fix this specific problem or keep replacing mics.  i know its not your choice or problem, but its coming soon.  many people in my thread have had them replaced way past 90 days.  its not a random or isolated problem.  its a hardware flaw in the headset that renders it totally dead.  no charge, no use, just dead.   i am a EE and have tested numerous "dead" ones.  for a $60 accessory product, the end user deserves much more.  there is no support article that can help people with this specific headset issue.

Well I can understand the frustration you and MoVeMenT may have had with your headsets. MoVeMenT can call back and state he went through the steps in that article specifically, and see if there is anything further that can be done for him. But that is the best options I can give you guys online beyond sending me a private message.

its not your headset, its the wireless controller you are using.  try another controller, or try to plug/unplug a wired headset a bunch of times.  basically, the controller is telling the console it already has a headset paired for that slot.  thats why it wont let the wireless go to the first quad.

if you continue to have issues after trying my suggestions, call support and they should replace your wireless controller for this issue.  go to youtube and search for this issue if you want proof beyond a professional engineers post.

now that is some actual support.  i need an "S" by my name.

edit: oh, also, search is a wonderful feature.  don't know how many times i have typed this exact thing on this site.  maybe hundreds?

read my post right above yours.  its the controller, not the headset.  the controller on quad 1 is telling the console it already has a headset in use.  therefore, when you start the wireless headset it goes to the second quad.  try the remedies i posted above.  if not, then call MS and they will replace wireless controllers for this issue.

make that hundreds and one.....
