there is no fix.  its hardware failure on a pcb attached to the battery.  not the battery itself.  call MS and demand a replacement.  also, please post in my "post only if your wireless headset totally died" thread.

I just finished with a wonderful, sadly typical session with 1-800-4-my-xbox.  The first person assured me that if I give him my personal info etc, etc, etc, he can fix my issue with the earset not syncing. Obviously he could not. I asked for a supervisor and I assured HIM it was not about him. After 9 minutes on hold, I heard the phone click twice, followed by the always awesome multi siren sound you hear when your hung up on.

I called back and the next guy cut right to the bottom line. Send back my controller and they will replace it with a new one.
This is the address but, I think you have to supply a reference number.
Truly sucks how MS does not address this issue after three years of the same problem.

OK my controller was working fine till i finally plug in a 2nd controller.  Ever since that my controller was never able to be use on the wireless headset.

 controller works find and everything but it doesnt work with my new wireless headset anymore after i plug in my 2nd controller.

first, mine wouldn't sync to the first quadrant (my original xbox controller). found a fix on you tube, but had to go buy a new controller to test the solution. it worked.

now, my headset will not charge. as i play, i constantly hear the beeping sound every few seconds or so. i am extremely disappointed in this product.

I have one of the headsets that charges via the wall outlet, and it does not hold a charge any longer.  I never even used it that much.

for the 1000th time, the synch problem is not a problem with your wireless headsets.  its a problem with your wireless controllers.  your wireless controllers have been used with a wired headset and the controller is now convinced that a wired headset is plugged in, even when it is not.  therefore, those controllers will not allow a wireless headset to connect to the same quad.

things you can try:
1.  try to plug/unplug a wired headset a few times and then totally drain the controller of power (remove the battery)
2.  trade controllers with a friend and ONLY use this wireless controller with the wireless headset and do NOT use a wired headset with that controller if it works.

if these don't work, or are not an option, you need to call MS and get a replacement wireless controller(s).

It turns on/off but doesn't hold a charge for more than a few minutes.  At this point it doesn't really matter, i'll just stick with the wired ones.

1524 Mine started with the syncing problem and then just died completely spent 2 days talking to 1-800-4-MY-XBOX got hung up on 4 times and was even put on hold by a supervisor for over an hour just for them to tell me to go buy a new one even though they know this is a problem with their faulty equipment.

1525- Randomly disconnects

Just wanted to make sure people are still seeing this issue, I just got off the phone with MS customer support after filing a complaint with the BBB and Ace the customer support rep told me that I am the only person in over 2 years that has called in about a wireless headset issue. With as many people posting on this I find that hard to believe.

yes, again, they are lying to get you off the phone.  its their job to get you discouraged and want to give up on the issue.  i believe this is why they deleted my old thread with 30 pages of people with total headset deaths.  they thought i would just give up and they could get rid of tons of evidence from the death problem.  lol.  it just made me want to cover the issue that much more thoroughly.
