Man i Still have my dreamcast..and shenmue was one of my favorates there, if it never became BC i'd just have to pull it down from my closet to play that and Shenmue and Shenmue 2 (**2)

If I had to list my faves on my owned consoles it'd be. I am an old school gamer.

AMIGA/Commodre 64/Atari 2600: some classics dear to my heart also too many to list. Besides i'd bore some of you new school jerks with my rant here. same with Sega Genesis: too many to list

on PS1: it'd have to be the Metal Gear series, Tomb Raider series and Resident Evil series.(*1)

On Dreamcast : it'd be Shenmue / Resident Evil Code Veronica and the Sports 2k Series, and Dead or Alive fighting series

on PS2 : the EA Sports series and Gran Theft Auto Series. (*2 ) / Devil may Cry & Onimusha

I had the XBOX 1 original console but i sold it to pay off some bills as i was between jobs at that time so never built up a library for it, and yes i was still a PS2 mark so it was expendible.

So far on my 1 year anniversary of my 360, my favs are : Gears of War / Call of Duty Series / EA & 2K Sports / GTA IV hope it becomes a series on 360 / Burnout series /

(*2)  yes on PS@ i still was not a FF fan

(**2)  yes I got shenmue 2 japanese version on my US console in the midst of the end of the Dreamcast run.

About the Wii rumor, they even talk about it in th biggest video game sites in France.

Rumor or not, its still something im willing to support. Ill buy anything shenmue if it helpts get shenmue 3 out. At this point I dont care if it comes out as a book or an anime, I just want the story to finish. And personally I think Shenmue would make a great anime, but hey thats me.

What has just surfaced here is a rumor. Unconfirmed, not yet backed bySega or anyone. Careful, remember what happened the last time we heard a "good intentioned" rumor from Kikizo.

Don't get me wrong, we all want Shenmue 3. I just don't think the Wii would do the Saga any justice. That is a cheap way of axing the franchise, but Sega is no longer a risk taker. Sega could very well give Shenmue the graphics to kill Devil may cry or VF5. But no, even if this is true, releasing Shenmue I & II on the Wii could only mean ways to raise money for a Shenmue 3 development. That's about the only positive thing about this "rumor". i BOUGHT the 360 only for the sake of playing Shenmue 2 in english. But it overheated and I'm back to playing it Japanese on the DC again. At least I get to play both games under one console. Why don't Sega release Shenmue 3 for the DC? It would even cost cheaper to develop than going the Wii way.

I believe the right approach would be to reintroduce the game in a whole package called the "Shenmue Saga" or something like that. Release it on the 360 exclusively and then release it on the PS or even the Wii. Everyone happy.
