What's the deal, MS?  The pleas for Shenmue II are blowing every other game asked for here out of the water.  44 pages worth of calls for Shenmue; get it done!

Yeay, i actually bought shenmue 2 when i found out it was gonna be backwards compatiable, Im very glad i did, but it would be nice if everyone got the chance to play this amazing game so i say *** yes with bringing it to xbox live, The only thing i could see that could hinder it, is the size of the Game ? I mean i think it runs in at 2.8 gb ? maybe with new compression methods they could get taht down a bit ?

Changing the world one MILF at a time.

Shenmue is a game in which the player is immersed in an amazing story.  Imagine seeing Star Wars Episode V and never, ever seeing the next episode.  This is what every Shenmue fan faces. 

Putting Shenmue and Shenmue II on Xbox Live Arcade would be amazing.  One reason of course is to bring gamers who have yet to experience the amazing story that Shenmue brings to light.  I think this would make Shenmue blow up, worldwide.  As the OP said, Shenmue 2 was a limited release and SEGA failed to advertise the game.  It's one of the best games many gamers have never heard of.  Putting both the games on XBL would make it so every Xbox gamer could start the story from the beginning, something which would really help SEGA, mainly because Shenmue 1 is a game many gamers haven't been able to play, due to the failure of SEGA's DreamCast.

Putting both of the games together, would be as the OP said, every Shenmue fan's wet dream, as well as an awesome opportunity for any gamer.

Please, please, please... put these two AMAZING games on XBL.

I believe it's a great idea to bring the Shenmue series to the Live originals program. I personally don't have an Xbox, but anything to bring attention to my favourite game of all time is great.

So sad about III not being released :(

If it is released, any time in the future, I will definately buy it. If that means buying a 360, then so be it.

Shenmue really is the most amazing game ever invented. i have just completed both of games on the Dreamcast again to refresh the meory over the past week. Having the second on xbox will be a step forward into getting the third.

Keep the faith i know soon we will have this game we have been waiting for for around nine years since the first.

I demand Shenmue!  I also demand Shenmue III!

Something needs to be done!  Shenmue has one of the greatest followings for a video game ever!  Can SEGA and Microsoft really ignore their loyal customers?

I decided to buy an XBox 360 over PS3 solely for Shenmue, back when it wasn't obvious that the game might never see the light of day!

I'm actually playing Shenmue 2 on my 360 as I type this.  Being able to play Shenmue 1 would really expand the fanbase of the game and may be able to propel a third game.  All of this relies on one of the richest men in the world, someone who can make Shenmue 3 happen!

If I won the lottery, the first thing I'd do would be to send a check to Yu Suzuki-san and tell him: "Shenmue has to happen.  It MUST happen."

This is really becoming ridiculous.  Years of requests for Shenmue's return on the xbox, and the rumor puts shenmue 3 on a nintendo system.

if this rumor is true, what does that says for the love of fan requests?

Why wouldn't you include it? It doesn't cost Microsoft much to just make the game available. I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say that I'd buy it, even though I own a hard copy of the Xbox game (and the imported Dreamcast version) just to show my support.

its been rumored to be at E3 the past several years along with KOTOR 3 duke nukem forever dont hold your breath just celibrate when they show it

I even have the imported Shenmue II for the Dreamcast as well as the US versions!

They would have had to have it on the Original Xbox to bring it to the Marketplace.  They have enough trouble trying to emulate their OWN games, do you guys HONESTLY think they're gonna go through the hassle of emulating a Dreamcast game?  Part 2 maybe, but Part 1?  It would be nice because I'm a Shenmue fan too but realistically guys, dream on.

Yeah I've been saying that for a while now, but if they really wanted to they could port it, like they did with Ikaruga.

Please: Micrsoft, SEGA, Suzuki san, give it to us! We will revenge our fathers death - on XBOX 360 & in 1080p. BTW: The Building Graphics in Shenmue II are much better then the one in GTA IV...
