I broke 90m 4 times today and 100m once (deadline).  Gettin so close.  I managed to improve the quality of my video taking today too by messing around with the settings on my tv (it's so dark now I can barely see, but makes the video look way less washed out).

I got screwed big time in Evolved today:

A repulsar coming through a gate at the end ruined what would easily have been 600+ million, 10 more ranks (or thereabouts) and #4 overall.

Well another new deadline highscore, 61 million, a decent increase over my old 54 mil but really i'm just happy i got a new on so quickly. I can feel a big breakout game coming soon, been so close to breaking 61 million a couple times. Just waiting for that perfect game.

Im about to give up on waves. I play waves for 3 hours straight and its the same old BS. Then I switch over to pacifism and I pass 1 Billion 6 times out of 8. Im just gonna focus on pacifism for a while now. My score is an understatement.

Played some Evolved earlier: had a half-chance, which ended at 260M and a REALLY good chance taken away from me afterwards - had 6 lives and 6 bombs at 100M but died 3-4 times consecutively, game over at 313M.

I'm taking a small break from it for a bit but I'm coming back to it later. I'm feeling quite confident.

wow, some days I play really better than others: Sunday I couldn't do crap on deadline, I had trouble going over 70mil. Monday, my three first games-- 99mil, 133mil and 126mil. and the 133 is a new highscore for me! yes, it is only a 5 mil increase from my previous one, but funny how this tiny 5 mil increase means a lot:
-Finally in deadline's top 10 (I have been rank 11, 12, 13, 11 again... but never int top 10!)
-I beat deathisland (I guess we've been rivals for ever, mostly for the fact that we live in the same area.)
- I beat FrozenVapor (I used to think his score was impossible to reach in the days he was number one)
-My third top 10
-Finally under 80 in the overall leaderboard SumPlacing

Now, this is regarding the Sequence video discussion. I must admit that you are right JDog, I should have congratulated H3ctor instead of saying he copied someone when he probably didn't anyway. If people want to upload sequence videos it's up to them, it's their choice and there's no problem with that. I have nothing to complain about if I'm not the one posting the video. Though I must disagree with one thing. You said that what I said concerning Sequence (You can just copy the video and have a nice score (but I figured out it was not true yes you guys were right) was like saying you guys in deadline just had to watch thor's video. not true, cannot be compared. this is why--> Deadline has random spawns and therefore you cannot copy the moves on the video. You can only get some tricks like going around the screen. In Sequence, the spawns are always the same (except the gate spawns), so the person can copy the exact same moves done on the video
BUT, by watching BLACKMACH1NE's video, i suprisingly noticed that his techniques were very different than mine. I would not be able to apply his techniques with skill because he developped them according to HIS gameplay. Would be the same if he tried my techniques. I guess it's the same for everyone. Finally, posting a Sequence video isn't problematic after all.

Right on, that all makes sense to me.  And congrats on your new deadline score!  I just broke mine today too, by about 500k ha.  I've scored 100m, give or take, about a dozen times now, and brought my average game up a bit over the past few weeks, so I'm feeling pretty good about that.  Video captures of my own games are proving to be very interesting/useful study tools too :)

Apology more than accepted . I'll have to disagree with you though yet again, as everything Thor does in his video, is pretty much the same as everyone else on the higher levels, so much as going around the screen and stuff, playing at that sort of level means Random becomes less random, if you get my drift. Some people (myself) just go different ways and such, for the most part top games are similar. And everyone knows the tactics and how the game progresses, cause I asked the creator to confirm my beliefs, to which he confirmed 'em! Kills and Geoms, per spawn!

As for BM's video, I found his Stage 8 the most helpful, I just play most other stages differently. I reckon the way I play I can get about 270+m, with BMs tip im looking at 280+m which is pretty good.

But yeah, we'll put it behind us now Chuck, lets soldier on!

Congrats on the new score. Ive been tinkering around with Seq lately and I think I know what you are doing differently now. I highly doubt Ill top your score because I dont have the OCD for it but I think I can get 345ish if I try to a while.

Alot of interesting reading over the last couple of pages..Its good here because people can have slight disagreements without descending into walls of flames. I read your post above Chuck and decided this is where I could buy in, as I really do agree with everything JDog and Silverlord wrote.

I sort of can see where you are coming from though Chuck..Its pretty obvious to me that with your phenomenal score, you have a few neat tricks up your sleeve and if I were you I would probably want to keep them to myself aswell. But after seeing Blackmachines vid, I didn't really see any secrets given away. All it confirmed to me was that I wasn't really doing anything wrong, its just Blackmachines vid showed just how important maximising EVERYTHING is..Now that may seem obvious, but seeing it first hand and actually seeing the vast difference that is made by collecting every geom possible has really pushed me more to get back into this mode. It also helps new players by showing them what they previously thought to be impossible, but they will only get big scores if they put in the neccesary time, have patience and a moderate case of OCD haha, which we all know most don't. It can be that little kickalong they need, as Sequence would probably be the hardest to get into for newer players. 

I will say seeing a set way to do stage 8 helped, as I knew what I had to do but could never get it right. Also I tryed starting from the corners like BM but it just doesn't feel right. I always start from the centre and naturally this makes the way I do levels slightly different.

My own personal experience with viewing gameplay videos are mainly from when I first really started to get into Pac-Man C.E..As Silverlord touched on before, gameplay videos can be quite deceiving. Its a breakout game and doesn't take into account the hours of gameplay that have gone into putting those runs together. When I first saw a high scoring Pac-Man C.E run, I thought all I had to do was learn the set patterns and it shouldn't be too hard..I really couldn't have been more wrong as there is so much more to it (mastering ghost behaviour, developing "alternates" to your main patterns so no time is lost etc) that the videos just don't pick up.

Anyway I am at 260 mil now in Sequence and am going to work on it for a while..I always used to bomb on 18, but now realise what a high scoring stage it is, so am really working on that stage..Stage 15 is definitely by biggest bogey stage and never really feel confident on it

Thanks..After my little break away from gaming altogether (personal tragedy RIP Gypsy ) I feel more into all my games now..I have to say that playing alot of Trials really drained me. It actually "wares you out" lol. I am really liking Sequence at the moment. I have just got into the habit of finishing most of runs regardless of whether I mess up. Its good to get some practice on the later stages without the pressure. Still have never done 20 without a bomb, but I only try when I am not on a scoring run.

I know you will beat (smash) your Evolved score very soon..Im gonna call you as the next billionaire. I know you have been playing it pretty solid for a while, so going by your history, breakout game just around the corner. For me anyway, its one of those modes that I will get a breakout score once in a while, as that first 100mil is just brutal. Its ok though, regardless of how frustrating it can be at times, it is still the most fun mode overall imo.

Also the fact that you were even able to play Robotron for more than 10 minutes at a time, puts you above all of us j/k I just found that game terribly frustrating and "unfun".

With the form I'm in right now, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that I will hit 1 billion sooner or later but I highly doubt I'll be the next. I think it'll be Thor, although H3ctor is also a candidate, then there's Chuck and BTF as well. Thanks for having faith in me, though!

Anyway, my Evolved progress since my last post: got a 429M, then 2 games later, 508M with 6.5K geoms at the end! I'm certainly feeling it now, it really is just a matter of time!

OMG BS 847mil evolved

Great score Chuck, but it's always painful to get so close to your high!  I wouldn't be surprised to see you break a billion soon.

I just beat my Evolved score, with a pretty nice jump in score too, 474M, previous high was 357M.  3 of my deaths were between 50-60M, it really wasn't looking good at first.  I pulled off some ridiculous moves on my last life, I was sure I was dead so many times.

Now I really should do something about that Pacifism score...

Seems like evolved is pretty popular right now, I also just beat my old score of 319 million with a new one of 382, im hoping to break that again tonight, every game feels like it could be a big one, im hoping for 500 mil +

yeah it sucks, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that I'm the only one who has gone over 800mil twice and does not have a billion.

Finally got a breakthrough game on deadline last night - i've cracked the 50mill barrier, and now stand at 55.6mill.

Pacifism is going well, got scores of 300,400,500..regularly...  I feel that i'll be breaking my 616 very soon, and once i do, i imagine i'll be very close, if not over 1bill. Watch this space! :)

Unlucky, Chuck, as I've said numerous times, Evolved is relentlessly cruel! I have no doubt you will be a billionaire soon, though.

That being said, I did bottle the 503M, had a 4 corner black hole spawn, quite a few blues behind me but triggered a black hole above me without committing to it, game over, should've been 600+M, had 3 bombs left.

The 460M wasn't nearly as clear cut but could've gone either way.

Man, I wish I recorded the 503M, between 30M-80M, I pulled off the most ridiculous manoeuvres (sp?) you ever could've seen. Waves, surround snakes, repulsars, none were a match for me. Didn't die again till 159M, when I ran into a pinwheel lol.

I just need to have more of those "invincible" spells and eradicate the "wtf?" moments and 1 billion WILL be mine!

LOL this is ridiculous, it used to take me several of runs in Sequence until i could reach a 340+millions game, but today, in my first game of Sequence in 5 days, I pulled off 343.5 mil. No retrys or anything, just on first try I go through all the stages perfectly and boom 343.5 wtf lol

 Nice. I did 319 on my first try. I died on 15 and still started 16 with a personal record. Chuck what are you starting 16 with?

both. My personal record is 178. I know I can do a lot higher now. Im tweaking a few things. Im thinking 185ish. I was way short on a couple early stages.
