How to beat the CPU everytime [for ppl who need help]

The way to beat every cpu character is:
do a backspin to the left [if your player is best on his forehand] so the opponant does a backspin to ur right then hold down ur focus button and then use a combo shot

Combo shot: either A and X or B and Y and X or B
or if you cant do that u can use the diagonals of the right analog stick

then if u hit a combo focus shot right out wide then the CPU will hit the ball into the air allowing u to smash it.
And from there u should know what to do

EVERY CHARACTER backspins it back if u do backspin to them allowing u to do that combo shot with focus which will then get the smash for you.

once u get the hang of this u can do every circuit easily.

i figured this out when i was playing against juergun on all star
i just couldnt beat him until i found out that if u do backspin the cpu does it

I think that any strat envolving you using manul focus is a key to sucess.  All you have to do is wait until you can be setup on the far wend of one side and your opponent hits it to you then manual focus back across table and  they should either miss it or pop it up.

This is exactly the strategy i ended up coming up with when i finally beat juergen in the pro circuit last night, it really does work.

i use the analog more than buttons as its easier to to combo shots but since u probs use buttons what i do is

serve= combo shot of:Y and X and low power so it just makes it over the net and about 80% of the chance they hit then net or miss the table but if they dont then do backspin to the left so they backspin it to your right then do a combo focus shot of: A and X to the left and the CPU will pop it up for a smash.
But dont always do it that way also try doing it to the right so they backspin to ur left and then do combo focus of: A and B so the CPU pops it up again.

im now doing this tactic for savant and its so easy to beat the CPU.

I cannot get it to work on the sixth round of the Pro tourney on Carmen as I play as Juergan. Often she does not return a backspin, but a side-spin or a top-spin.

still try it

i just played as lui ping against haley and she wasnt doing much backspin
but she does do it if u do backspin the cpu will do it and if they do sidespin and u do enough backspin they may even miss the table or hit the net

so just keep trying it

Ok
Here we go:

to topspin combo shot it to the left u use: A and X for a top spin,left spin
to topspin combo shot it the the right u use: A and B for a tospin,rightspin
to backspin combo shot it to the right u use: Y and B for a backspin,right spin
to backspin combo shot it to the left u use: Y and X for a backspin,leftspin

hopefully that will help alot

And remember that when u do the combo shot that u use focus!

Yep. It is extremely effective against the CPU.

I'm using it right now to beat the Pro Circuit. It's been a much easier task after I discovered the move last weekend. You still have to know how to play when using this though, because if you mess this up, the return is going to kill you unless you're quick with your paddle.

Ok I gave this a try and the CPU didn't backspin it it back to my forehand they kept putting down the left.

Any chance of getting a movie of this in action dude and maybe uploading to google movies or youtube.com?

Don't wanna put you out or anything but I'm guessing my positon of my player or the backspin shot I'm playing isn't quite right and any help you can give as to what I'm doing wrong is greatly appreciated.

Loving the combo shots though.

Ol Jesper gave me a proper hiding on hard this morning so I'm looking for some revenge. Angry [:@]

u are supposed to backspin it to anyside so they backspin it back to hoepfully ur right then u combo shot it to the left
or if they backspin to ur left then u combo shot to the right
hopefully that will help

but makesure u keep backspinning it
