Once again, the Jasper motherboards only have 512MB internal memory if you buy a Arcade. It is then 24/7 activated for use, even if you have a HDD slapped on.

Re: How to find a full 65nm Jasper console…
So I bought my 360 when halo 3 came out two years ago... It was the halo 3 edition console and it worked fine for a little bit over a year.  About 11 months ago, I got my first RRoD when the screen started freezing and making a glass shattering noise.  It then worked for about 9 months.

About two months ago my box got RRoD again...  Today, I turn on my box and it cant go two minutes in the dashboard without getting TWO red rings.. My box is in a better location and better ventilated then it was when I got RRoD.. Ive followed this thread and its predecessor since i first got my RRoD and am now wondering what I should do...

Im thinking about trying to either find a 360 Arcade that is Jasper so this problem will be less prevalent.  Or maybe putting up a higher amount of money to get the MW2 console because that bundle at least has games I would play (no offense to LEGO Batman, but i prefer fps)  Anyone have any suggestions or some other options I could try..

You're covered for 3-years for the RRoD, so I'd send the Halo console back to MS. Sure the replacement might not last terribly long (probably a bit over a year), but then you won't be out any $$$.

Otherwise I'd step up to the MW2 console; it's a guaranteed Jasper and you get an awesome game.

haha at the fix cuz it only lasted less than two months from the last fix..  Yeah, I believe I read somewhere that the coverage gets extended 3 months after each time your box red rings, because I think my warranty was due to run out this month (November) but it was extended to December (I think, not sure).. Im kinda thinkin about the MW2 bundle, but I dont think ill be able to front the cash when it comes out soon.. Im gonna try and see if it will be until supplies are sold out or to a certain date... Thanks for the help.. :)

MS hasn't been making anything but Jasper consoles for MONTHS now. I'm not sure why this is so hard to believe.

Hey guys, I'm getting a box sent to me Monday to send in my Elite. They said to just put the console in excluding wiring and so forth. However, if they send me a Jasper motherboard or a whole new Jasper console will my power brick work with it? Will I have to order another one? Will Microsoft give me a new power cord?

Ive asked this maybe 5-10 pages back & someone told me it would be cool. 175w and 203w power supplies will work with a jasper, but not the other way around.. for example, you can run a jasper with 175-203w power supply, but you cant run an older model on a jasper's power supply(150w)- thats what I was told..

newer power brick wont fit older consoles. they made sure of this so no idiot will melt their power brick

That the first time Ive heard that, Ive never had to try it and find out so Im not exactly sure. I guess whoever told me was wrong then, so good question!, I wonder what would happen if you get a jasper back... Im in the same boat, I got an older 203w model and if they ever replaced it with a jasper I guess I'd be screwed then.
Like I said before, I asked this before (page 40 i think) and was told the opposite.

Because I have had so many issues with this console I could just see it not being a jasper and being an older model.
