Great guide. But one little remark: You CAN get the "zombie scores" achievement by getting mortally wounded by a katana. I got it this way by getting slashed in the back by an enemy elf just meters before the drop-off point in Pinnacle. I didn't get rezed that round, so I didn't get it because of my rezzer (is that even a word?) bleeding out.

Hrm, I changed my definition between v2.0 and v3.0 and I can't seem to find the source of who told me that it /wouldn't/ work by getting mortally wounded that prompted me to put the note in about it not working.

I don't have this achievment yet, so I can't really comment one way or the other from personal experience =)

this is one of the things I'm unsure on... there's been conflicting reports. i don't track my games on pnp so I have no way to tell.

I got my human player by finishing a joined match so i guess joining matches do count..

 

And my advice for zombie scores is die within the round and get rezzed then pick up the atifact and stand near the drop point then tell your rezzer to get killed by a member of the opposite team.

 

I got mine when my rezzer accidently died.

Ok, if you're playing a game and you get the blue screen that says ...Connecting... and then it tells you "Lost connection to server."     did all the kills you got in that game still count?

I've had three games tonight with 10+ sniper kills that ended that way towards the end, and I'm really hoping those kills counted cause I hate being a scout/sniper...

...and I know people have asked this question before, but I'm frustrated and I want to make sure...

As far as I know, as long as you do land the mortal wound (i.e. you see them start to bleed out) whether or not that person dies by bleeding out, you or a teammates kills him, he gets ressed, or the round ends, you still get credit towards this achievment.
My strategy for earning this achievment was to use Elf, and purchase abilities in this order - Ressurect, Smoke, Enhanced Vision, Teleport. Res first to earn money and help your team, EV to scout the enemies and TP to get behind them. Smoke for escape.
dzs Awezome reported that this achievment can be unlocked by killing someone who ressed someone else - whoever they ressed will begin bleeding out and the game will count this as a mortal wound. This is proven by people who have unlocked this achievment without using the katana much. Confirmation of this by Decestation v2 in this thread.

I would like to confirm that you can get Master Ninja without the Katana and mortal strikes.  If you look at my gamer card, I have Master Ninja, but not Street Samurai.  This is because I rarely use the Katana, and instead, got the Achivement by killing rezzers.

I don't think you have to teabag anyone for the Shadowrun Fever acheivement,because my brother got that acheivement yestarday without teabagging anyone,I was even watching him play and he didn't teabag anyone and still got it.

If you're asking if you can get achievments while offline, the answer is no. You must be connected to Live with at least 4 gamertags on each team to earn achievments.

I just got the Zombie Scores! achievment on Maelstrom. I only captured the flag once, and I was bleeding out due to being cut in the back by an enemy.

I think the people who told me that Katana wounds won't count for it were being hit by friendly players.

I can confirm that L0N0 rarely if ever uses the katana, yet he's got Master Nina and no Street Samurai. Proof positive that killing ressers will count towards it.

All I can do on this is speculate. We have the knowledge that Achievments DO unlock in some cases. I would hope that they are tallied at least at the end of every round.

thanks for this info, i was wonderin for so long if i had to play on Live for my achievements but now i figured out the truth that I have to instead of solo with bots =(

I got it from teabagging people now and then. As far as I know that's the only way of getting it
