Yeah, I just watched it.  Not really all that interested (just like the other 3), but it looks messed up as always.

I haven't seen any of them. My Wife doesn't get into those kinds of movie's, and if I have a night without my Wife it'll be to enjoy some gaming.

Honestly... why bother?

Basically the same situation here.  The wife doesn't like anything gruesome and refuses to watch horror type movies, so I just don't watch them.

Well guys and gals R.E. Extinction was a great movie. I don't think I heard 1 single cursing word. There was a lot of violence and plenty of zombie slashing and some shooting but more zombie slashing. The story is really beginning to come together and is kinda starting to tie into the game. I don't want to spoil anything but it is definelty worth going to see. The movie takes place mostly in the desert and is in daylight not at night like the past 2. The zombies are much more agressive (you will see what I mean when you see the movie). A monster we've all been waiting to see finally emerges (won't say which one) but you don't see too much of it (I was expecting more when I saw the monster). There were 2 deaths in the movie that I didn't like only because I like the characters though. Any questions i'll answer but as long as their not spoilers.

You know it's funny Blu messaged me about catching up to my gamerscore. Didn't really bother me, since I was without my 360 for a couple months, kids have been on it, and I haven't purchased anything for months. Then I got to looking at her games played to see how difficult they were for achievements.

This one really caught my eye though. I didn't know she had seriously, and wow she got 15 achievements in one day. On a Monday non the less. Pretty cool. Especially since when I look at the ranked leaderboards she has like 10 kills total between all game types. WTH?

Come on Blu if you're going to trash talk, at least get them legit.

Re: GamerDads

You guy's have to remember, I'm not strictly a 360 gamer now. I'm on my PC quite a bit more these days, but congrats on your achievements. Hats off to you Madame Dork. Nice Oblivion complete, R6:V, Hitman, and almost complete BioShock (maybe I should have got it on the 360 for the extra 1000 gs rather then on my PC).

I was mostly trying to point out the below though. It cracks me up to see someone pointing out that they are catching your gamerscore, and then when you look at their achievements you see some form of glitching their gamerscore that was done less then a week ago. Please don't hate me for pointing this out. I just find it humorous.

Re: GamerDads

I understand.  I was just trying to have a conversation with you and not turn it into another potentially uncomfortable discussion.  I still feel bad about the one I have that Ryan did for me because Dave needed help defeating General Ram on Hardcore and I hadn't played the game much and I was getting frustrated so Ryan took the controller to help him.  It was my first achievement on GoW.  If you look, it's the only one I got in 2006.  Embarrassed [:$]

I'm still trying to decide if I want to go through Bioshock again for that last achievement.  I didn't look at the list my first time through and the second time I was harvesting to get a different ending, but you can't get the tonic achievement when you do that.  I wanted to play the game without touching the sister to see the third ending so that would be 2 more times.  I'll give my self a break and try again later when it would feel sort of new again.  I love that game so I have no problem playing it later.

Ha, ha. Yeah, at least you could get the lower difficulty level achievements in GoW when playing the higher difficultites. Check my Quake 4 ones. You have to play through on each difficulty level to get each of them. Good thing it's quick paced and I like it. Although it would be nice if the load times were quicker, especially as much as you die on General. Eeesh. Fear is another of the ones that takes some dedication.

I hadn't seen any of the RE movies, mostly because I've never played the games and don't have that desire to see if the movie resembles the game.  I agree with whoever said that about the star Milla.  Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

See now me and Beezy are opposite, went with the kids to see it  last night and I thought extinction was the worst movie out of the 3 made. There were things left hanging from previous movies and me and the kids just didnt like it. BTW we have been hyped for this movie since Feb. so I dont know if that had something to do with it to

Madame is right; you guys are more than welcome to join in the fun!  So how are you two set up?  I mean, separate 360's or do you share one?  I am trying to convince the missus that we need another one here since our taste in games is so different.  Of course I'm losing that battle, but I continue to fight the good fight.

Again, welcome to the party.  Looking forward to gaming with you guys sometime!

Does your wife play games?  When hubby and I started dated we had 1 xbox.  I always played, but when his son and I really got in to it where we were fighting (not violently) over the one, I did what I could to get another one.  And then at my Christmas party for work, I won a printer and my boss won an xbox so we traded and then we had three.  When the 360's came out we started with one.  Actually we had two, but his ex-wife said that Ryan wanted one from Santa and he told her Sants can get anything so she begged my husband for the extra one.  It was for our boy so we sold it to her.  We ended up trading in the original xboxes and old games for our second 360.  We really need at least one more though.  Since all of us play someone is usually left out.  Sad [:(]

But I get to play on the HD 54" TV in the front room.  Stick out tongue [:P]

She's moreso into the casual games, although on the PS2 she played stuff like Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper.  She really likes Hexic and the puzzlers on the arcade.  I tend to be more skewed toward the sports and action games myself.  We probably could have swung another 360 back in May, but she found a Wii and that pretty much ended the discussion then.  The upside with this setup is that there are some days I come home from work and she says,"Honey, I added some points to your score today!"

My wife is kinda like that.  She plays stuff like Uno and stuff in Arcade on 360, but her weak point is Guitar Hero.  After buying the first one (for me as a Father's Day present), she got hooked and I have had to preorder every one since then for the PS2 (except for GH3, we haven't done that yet).  It is kind of embarassing to say, but she kicks my butt on that game without a problem.  Its ridiculous, I don't play very often with her cuz it kills my gamer confidence :)  I'm just glad she has fount something that she likes to play.

Welcome, mrs eviltedi.  I know I was going to try and stay away until I finished Halo 3, but I can't figure out how else I am going to make today go by.  I was burned twice by attempted spoilers in just a few hours.  One was the kid who posted it in here (thanks to the mod who deleted it for us) and the other was sent via PM.  That one was tricky, because it was a YouTube link.  Thankfully, the video had been removed by Microsoft.

The countdown is on!  Who is going at midnight?  I know Beezy is, but is anyone else?

EDIT: Fantastic article by our own Nien at the Gamer Dads page.  It's a great read.  Thanks, Nien!

Oh I wish, but my part time job just kills that chance.  If only Gamestop would stay open until 2:45 AM< I could be there.  Instead I will hit the ice on NHL 08 and tear up as all those on my friends list "Finish the Fight."

I probably won't bother picking it up at midnight.  I preordered from Best Buy, and since I have to get up for work at 5:30 am, doing a midnight release is pretty rough.  I'll just pick mine up on my way home tomorrow and start playing tomorrow night.  Now if I could only figure out how to play Halo and get my Java programming assignment done at the same time....
