Yes, please MS, SEGA, lets see this game on XBL.

I already own this fantastic game on Dreamcast, but I would gladly buy this game the day its released on Live to play it on my 360, and I know there are many many more fans out there that would do the same.

This game is the single best game I have had the pleasure to play, it would be a fantastic addition to the Xbox Originals downloads. Its got a very dedicated and eager following all around the world, and its just one of those games that is so unique there is nothing else like it available anywhere, let alone on 360.

From the UK myself, but i have to say... Releasing Shenmue titles on the X-Box is a superb idea. I personally own all Shenmue titles released i would go out and buy a 360 for the ability to download Shenmue 2 onto the hard drive. Shenmue has a large following of people and i for one would like to show my support for the games series. In a nut shell, Shenmue 2 X for X-Box Originals!

Rent A Hero No.1 certainly looks entertaining. I'd love to see that released on Xbox Originals, it'd have my download for sure. (Right after Shenmue and Shenmue II of course).

 

I should also point out that I learned about Rent A Hero FROM Shenmue, because you could win him out of the capsule toy machines. I have a separate thread on it if anybody wants to show Taro some love. ;)

Shenmue WILL happen. The same pressure that got them to make it BC will make them put it on XO. Shenmue has friends in high places, which is why MS insisted that S2 be an Xbox exclusive in the US.

Well this seems to be the most popular thread on the board so I have come to the conclusion that Shenmue II WILL come to Xbox Originals. Well it will if Microsoft likes making money...

i dont know if microsoft made it BC beacause they wanted to, or beacause they made another game BC, and shenmue had a similar engine

Na i think Microsoft wanted it  to be backwards  shenmue engine is very complex don't think other games have the same engine .

This is the first time I'm actually posting on the Xbox.com Boards and I couldn't have picked a better topic to start with.

I agree, I totally agree...Shenmue 2 would make a great title on the Xbox Originals Line Up and for 15 bucks, that's cheaper and more risk-free then trying your luck on Ebay or dwelling in the used sections.

While it's debatable that the inclusion of Shenmue 2 in this lineup would help Sega consider reviving Shenmue and possibly bring a long awaited 3rd title, but hey, at least people are talking about this game and that's all good.

Please, Sega or Microsoft, make it happen!

Shenmue II should definatly be on XB live for download as it is one of the best games ever to grace the Xbox system.

I want Shenmue 3 so badly,it's not even funny. But it better be developed by Yu Suzuki and not by a third party company who destroys it like what they did with Shenmue Online.--Who comes up with this ideas?!

I could see it now.......... A trailer showing Shenmue 3 coming this 2008. Wow, good graphics with the same great storyline. And while they are at it, they should remake 1 and 2 with a better and more modern graphics engine, like what Capcom did with Resident evil for the Gamecube.

Guys don’t just demand Shenmue II to be downloadable, demand the original Shenmue too! Having both games as downloads could be the perfect set up for Shenmue III over time. It would bring in a lot of new fans if they could start from the very beginning of the franchise, and the more fans, the higher the chances of Shenmue III. It’s quite promising!

 

Also, having both the Dreamcast version and Xbox version of Shenmue II would be great. Or at least give us the option to switch to the Japanese version.

Shenmue is not "in demand". If it were Shenmue II would have actually sold, and there would be a Shenmue III.

Shenmue needs to be reintroduced to the masses. It was an epic game, and doesn't get the kind of respect it deserves.

But bonus points for MS? If they S2 does come to the Marketplace, talk to Sega and get Shenmue The Movie on the MP too, and send anybody who buys S2 a token to DL is (which would be the only way to get it).
