Another thing they mentioned was a word of caution, if the primary account you want to "sacrifice" (for want of a better word) has also played vegas 1 before then you'll get the "welcome back ...." message for that account but you can press A on either controller to accept it. If you press  A on the secondary controller (the account you want the achievment on that and you want to get the bonus on later) then it still glitches the achievment. You have to make sure you press A on the dummy account controller (controller 1).

Just to be sure they recommend creating a dummy profile, booting vegas 2 up on that, then signing in on the 2nd controller and doing the terrorist hunts then delete the dummy profile when finished.

does anybody know when the patch will be out? i played thru with a friend and he got the achievement but i didnt so idk what was goin on with that.

Its stupid just coz we were high ranking on the first R6V they have rewarded us with a very low rank and punished us with no achievement. they should have just set it to unlock private first class when we started the game.
also ive done every scene on realistic and no achievement - really gutted whats the deal with that?

Does the PFC achievement appear if you create a new character other than the main one some how?  I really want it, but I am unsure if a patch would be able to fix it...

A patch would most definately be able to fix it, as they'll just modify the trigger for the achievement to include the argument "if rank >= PFC, then" achievement unlocked.

No known workarounds for people who've already loaded R6V2, unless you can somehow get the game to inadvertantly reset your rank.

There used to be a way to reset your rank on R6V1 as some of my mates ranked upto elite then reset there rank and started over again not sure how they did it though as I was new to xbox then and not as heavily involved

I had to do the final mission of the campaign twice in order to get the achievement, so if you did not get it the first time, beat just the final mission again to see if you get it.

i did that and i didnt get it

I have an idea about the PFC glitch....

We now know that r6v2 info is somehow attached to your gamerprofile. But I'm thinking it's probably only attached to your local gamerprofile save file (on your xbox or memory card) and NOT actually to Xbox Live...

So here's what I recomend trying (I'm at work so I can't do it myself):

 

1 - Sign out of Xbox Live.

2 - Delete your gamer profile.

3 - Delete all R6V1 & R6V2 save files.

4 - Clear cache (just in case).

5 - RECOVER GAMERTAG.

6 - Sign out of XboxLive.

7 - Unplug your internet modem (to disconnect from internet).

8 - Sign in gamertag offline.

9 - Boot up R6V2.

 

If I'm right then hopefully the recovered gamerprofile will not have any R6V2 info. And w/ no internet connection previous R6V2 info will not be recovered...

...So if all this works you should be able to start the game over, get PFC ahcievement offline, and then get credit for the achievement when you re-connect to Xbox live. 

 

 

 

I think this may have been tried, but feel free to try it when you get a chance and report back.

Um..both of those questions were answered. Yes there's a patch and yes there's a couple workarounds.

They are 'looking into the problem' with Freedom Shall Prevail.

There's a few workarounds that people have suggested, replaying the first level, replaying in a co-op game, etc.

Huh?  In R6V if you reset your rank you started at square one with nothing but what everybody else who starts the game up.  And for R6V2 I have yet to see anywhere that you can reset your rank and I don't think there will be one.  You can "reset" your character to redesign them but that is it.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

Unfortunately, I believe decu68 is correct - I don't think there's a reset rank function in R6V2

I completed all levels on realistic too and did not get this achievement initially.  I tried the suggestions but they did not work for me.  

I decided to join the final scene on a difficulty setting I had not completed before.  I finally got he achievement by completing the final scene on "normal" difficulty (which I had not previously done) and as "knight" (which I had not previously done either).  The only thing different to what I was doing to try re-trigger the achievement was to do a difficulty setting and character that I had not previously done up to the point I was supposed to get the achievement.

I am just leaving this reply incase it helps anyone else.  I had redone most levels on realistic and it didn't help until I tried this.
