You just have to be careful because that question can have a few meanings depending on interpretation.  Split screen MP as in local versus, or splitscreen MP as in "Guest" play on Live (think Halo)... see what I mean ;-)

Yeah, I meant playing with a guest or 2 screen names on one box, as in Halo or Gears. I'm guessing that if you can do the co-op splitscreen then they will have the ability to splitscreen online multi-player, but haven't seen any confirmation. For me this is one of the biggest things missing from COD 4, if I have a buddy over we have to switch off maps, instead of playing together.

Anyway you could send that question down the pipe Chefs?

I have a feeling Treyarch will suprise us and make a better game than CoD4 was!

I dont think it will be a big release and sell ALOT of copys at the start, because people dont want WWII or dont like Treyarch, but after they played it somewhere, im sure it will start selling big a few weeks after.

I am looking more forward to this than i was for CoD4, i much like WWII better!

And i hope there isn't a sprint, i didnt like that feature, it made the game to fast and not enjoyable!
But i'd like to run a little faster by getting your pistol out, like it was in CoD2.

All this information is really getting me hyped now, but it just seems they are copying CoD4, with the features like challenges etc.
I hope they include a few other stuff that makes it stand out from CoD4, and i hope the challenges are different too!

I actually do hope it has a sprint feature of some kind, especially on the bigger maps. . to me, it doesn't make much sense to have to walk around all the time.

exactly my point...it MUST have a sprint feature even if that has to be a perk so at least people have a choice. I dont play any FPS's without a aprint feature as i find them too slow and takes ages to get back into the action/traffic areas.

Games being played at present:

COD World At War
Batman Arkham Asylum

Oh you mean that cap gun from COD4? The one where you could shoot a guy in the face with that 50. cal round and not kill him when in real life just the cuncussion from the bullet would rip your skin off? That gun? I think a .30-O6 Springfield will be just fine.

Yeah, Springfield will do.

Why not have both? Look at GRAW2.

And some things like that (the 50. cal) you can't just change from realistic to balanced. That's just way too over the top. I can see with the assualt rifles and stuff being changed for balance over realism, but not with that cannon. There is no doubt you will die by that monster.

I havent read through the thread but CHEFS, can you say anything about the MP lobby system? Are we going to be able to pick what map we play, a la CoD3? Or will it be the pot luck of CoD4?

In Australia from 10th Nov - 8th Jan :-D

I either read Chefs verifying it in here or heard it from listenting to the live Podcast, but there will be ranked and unranked matches.  I'm glad.  Making every damn game a ranked match makes a lot of people not play for fun and try and pad their stats.

hopefully this time there actually balanced...

in cod4 it doesnt always seem balance...thats why cod2 will be best game i ever played!!!!!!

From what I saw, the GUI mirrored COD4:MW, I'd assume the lobby system would be the same then.

I agree that if they have to include those 2, that you should actually have to have a grenade or pistol equipped for them to have any effect.  Just doesn't make much sense to me otherwise.

I do believe I read it somewhere or heard it on that podcast, CHEFS, that there were ranked and unranked matches, including private matches.  If not, and Treyarch has once again "mirrored COD4:MW" what a shame.

I definitely hope that there are in fact ranked/unranked playlists. As well as the ability to pick what map you wanted to play.  Thats what was the best part of the COD3 lobby.
