Great thread The Decode. I really appreciate the time you took to post this for us. I have a couple questions though. I just purchased a dazzle, I have a LCD tv that has video output, but it seems to only output what I have plugged into video 1 or 2. I don't seem to be able to capture my 360 which is plugged into my Component slots. I was able to capture video by using splitters as you explained in your original topic. My main question is, am I only able to capture my 360 game play on the std TV settings and not on HDTV settings? I just don't see how all the video I seen on youtube are from the std TV setting and not HDTV. Maybe I'm missing something here but I just don't see how my video will look as good if I'm only capturing it on std TV. Thanks in advance.

Your right your video quality does look very good. Now did you have the settings on your component cables set to TV instead of HDTV when you took that footage?

What would your best suggestion be for capturing using the VGA cord on the 360 to play and a mac to record. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use a VGA scan converter which can send out a composite or s-video signal to a capture device. It passes the VGA signal though so you can play on your monitor with no lag while recording. For a capture device, there is pinnacle, elgato, or a DV bridge like an Canopus ADVC100.

I have one question...
I have seen some people on youtube directly import live video from their 360 with thier capture card but when I try that it says that it can't find mine?
Can anyone help me?? I just bought the capture card so I'm new to all this.

oh and can I use my HDMI cable when I'm recording???
Also my tv only has AUDIO OUTPUT. Why is that?

When you finish recording it will be in your "My Videos" compartment labeled "VIDEO_TS" or something like that.

ok i can record videos now. They look alright but..
they have a little line at the bottom of the screen that shows up after I'm done editing. Why does that happen???
