Wow..it never ceases to amaze me how ungrateful, narrow minded and "knee-jerk" some people can be..AGAIN!..THIS IS A BETA!!..you did NOT pay jack-sh!t for it..you were invited to participate and ONE of the reasons they opened it to a selct few it to get their feedback to they can TWEAK it before it finally drops.  If there is something you don't like..tell them..and maybe they'll change or modify it.

Anyone who sez they're not gonna buy it based solely upon what they see here is an IDIOT

sure wait til it drops..rent it..borrow it..maybe even wait for the DEMO..and if it still sux..THEN say you're not gonna buy it

..but to say this NOW..is just disrepectful

if nothing else why not give your beta token to someone else so THEY can help critque it..make it better

Well seeing how this game will be release in a month I highly doubt that many changes will be made before launch. With that said why should people spend their money on a game that probably won't be patched until months after launch like most 360 games? Yes it is a BETA but it's alittle late in the game to fix so many issues. Red Faction was a true BETA if they dont fix some of the stuff with that with all the time they have then that is just sad.

Which they won't have time to do. It comes out in less than a month; in all likelihood, the game is already stocked up in a warehouse somewhere ready to be sold.

What people don't understand is that this isn't a real Beta. It's an exclusive demo that's helping Treyarch and Activision test out their network infrastructure so that the online play doesn't suck day 1. They're only calling it a "Beta" as a marketing ploy.

Feedback won't matter until the full release, and will only be implemented in the first (read: inevitable) patch.

That being said, it certainly hasn't stopped me from complaining about the problems with the game thus far...

(see red)

well..I won't argue with someone who is bright enuf to conclude what I did already as well..yeah this really isn't a true beta..more like a demo/ work in progress..at least thsi is the only thing one can conclude if they're still gonna try to make the Vet's Day drop (11/11)

..BUT unlike a true Demo..they are taking feedback from the fans they've invited to participate..or if they really are not they are putting on a decent charade..I'd left critiques for Chefs and JD already..why do this if you're not really gonna listen..it's not like the videogame police are gonna bust them

..my whole *** was with dudes that are baggin on this for stupid stuff..the guns suck (it's capped at level 11 dude..of course the guns are lame thus far)..the graphics suck (no man..friggin GORGEOUS graphics)..the dogs attacks are too over the top (they ARE taking feedback to tone this down)

or those that just say..I"M NOT GONNA BUY IT

okay li'l man..DON'T ..there's gonna be a line a mile long behind ya of guys who will..get ta steppin'

Fair enough.

My only gripe is bolt action guns, If I have to hit someone 3 times to kill them and there thompson is just as accurrate and stronger at a distance..Well why would I ever use a bolt action gun. Here's to hoping they listen.

Alright so here goes. Thanks to my man Ev1l Sean, I was able to get a Beta Key and download the Multiplayer Demo last night. I hopped on for close to 2 hours last night in game play, so here are my thoughts on the limited time I have on this game.

1) Cod4 engine? From what I noticed the movement is not nearly as fluid as Cod4, its a little staggered and not very fluent at all. I kinda felt like the going from sprint to pulling out your weapon time delay was a little too long.(I couldn't tell you how many times I had been killed before I had even pulled out my gun) The audio glitches with the feet sound is annoying. I'll be BARELY moving and all of the sudden I feel like theres a stampede behind me.

2) Weapons: Overall I feel that they are pretty balanced, with the exception of maybe the BAR being a little too overpowering, especially with very little recoil(at least from what I noticed.) And the Arisaka being severely underpowered.(I personally feel that 1 shot to the chest with a bolt action rifle should take a person out. But from what I understand, once we get passed Rank 11, the bolt action rifles become stronger ) Sticky grenades FTW Gah I love those thing. Haven't had a chance to use the Molotov, but from what I hear its a little underpowered and doesn't get as many kills as you would suspect.

3) Perks, Artillery, Dogs: Perks, meh, are okay, I didn't really notice them affecting the game play much, minus the overwhelmingly strong Juggernaut.. Yes I know, you are all saying, equip stopping power.. I do have it, its equipped on every one of my classes.

Artillery: OMG this crap sux0rz. It last for like 5 days and every time a shell hits the ground you seem like you are getting hit with the Tabun gas. Don't get me wrong, I feel that you should be stunned when you are around the artillery, but this is just overkill, You literally cannot see what you are doing, you get stuck tryin to say get into a door a nd since you are I guess "Stunned" you keep missing it. I feel that the stun from the artillery, especially YOUR OWN TEAM's artillery is extremely strong, and needs to be toned down.

Dogs: Very nice addition although I feel that a helicopter would be a much better addition, but oh well. The dogs are not that hard to kill, while they can still *** you without you even noticing. I got 1 Dog call last night and got I believe 5 kills offa it -- I strongly suggest putting a limit of the dogs, maybe 6 per team? I believe that the dogs could sometime get out of hand while you are playing.

4) Gameplay: The game play seems kind of skewed. It's not very fluent, especially in war. The flag placements are horrid, the maps pretty much permit camping all around, and unless you semi know the maps, you're screwed. TDM isn't bad at all, but look at what I said about the guns^^^. CTF is awesome, a friggin love CTF, my only problem.. GIVE US LONGER ROUNDS. In this game with not fluidity at all, (IMHO, I believe its because the maps are too large and it takes forever just to get somewhere just to get shot a couple times and die.) I have only seen 2 caps in a round, no more. I had COUNTLESS draws in CTF, which leads me to another thing, If its tied, give us a sudden death 1 cap win kinda thing instead of giving everyone a draw.

Maps: The maps are HUGE, and with the not so fluent movement, it makes for a some very rough rounds indeed. I STRONGLY suggest a couple maps that aren't so big. It sucks taking 2-3 minutes just to run/walk to where you're going only to get popped in the back by a camper and then spawning and having to do it all over again. This is especially true in CTF I noticed. You pretty much always spawn at your flag, and then it takes 10+ years to even get near the enemy flag, and once you do, POP shot down by a camper. Ugh.

Overall: I'd probably give this beta 7.5-8 outta 10. I'm really disappointed with the fluidity of this game. That was one thing that I thought was fantastic in Cod4. I can still see WaW becoming a highly sought after game and becoming one of the top played games though. It will be interesting to see what happends to Cod4 once this is released. Thanks for the opportunity to test out WaW Treyarch, I look forward to seeing the completed product and hope that the insight from us gamers helps out as intended

~Dys out.
