Well it's with a massive smile on my face that I can amend my list somewhat...

  • Secret of Monkey Island (Tick!)
  • Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
  • Curse of Monkey Island
  • Sid Meier's Covert Action
  • A re-release of Hero Quest (Not a re-release of the original computer game, more of a re-realisation of the original board game, taking advantage of custom boards and XBL Multiplayer)
  • It may sound a little silly, but I think that Civilization 1 or 2 would make a massive hit on XBLA. Even just Civ 1 (like FreeCiv or equiv) or even Colonization would be a smash on XBLA
  • The Dig
  • Any one of the Indiana Jones Adventure titles
  • I still think that Theme Hospital deserves a place on XBLA
  • Speaking of Bullfrog, why not Syndicate / Synd Wars?
  • How about Little Big Adventure?

Oh thought of a few more...
  • Star Wars: Rebellion - if anyone has played it, chances are you were also addicted to it at one stage. Being an RTS on a galactic scale in the Star Wars universe (yet all contained in a single screen) would be ideal for XBLA, especially with multiplayer and leaderboards (and such a challenging AI)
  • Any number of the Sim games, some standouts - SimIsle, SimCity 1 / 2K, SimFarm etc etc
  • Tie Fighter / X-Wing - Both amazing games and would be awesome on XBLA if MP was squeezed in...

As does Theme Park World. Big Smile [:D]

Edit.

And since you mentioned Sim games, I would also like to see Sid Meier's SimGolf. Cool [H]

I'll second syndincate though i still have both games on pc so its not all that necessary but would still be nice.

What about magic carpet?   Sega rally would be cool used to love playing that in the arcades as long as they let you use the steering wheel. Have Sega Rally 2  on the dreamcast and the controls are just horrible.

Techwar - didn't do well on pc but i loved it at the time - William Shatner was in it.

Terminator Future Shock - cool game.

Yep thought of a couple more pc standouts that would suit live arcade to a TEE - Rise of the triads and heretic.

Same here guys, I used to love playing rise of the triad over and over ... I just couldnt get enough I used to love anything apogee would release on the PC it would be crazy if it were to appear on XBLA though I think it would never happen.

Wasnt ROTT supposed to be a sequal to Wolf3d anyhow ? Seeing as it was based on the same engine just modified ...

Ohh that reminds me aswell... Blood... did any of you guys play "Blood" ? that was a very cool game aswell. I remember playing it over the old 28K modem all night long... ohh the good old days of multi player gaming.

Cheers !

Still have blood somewhere in a box in spare room i think lol. That was a cool game

don't think rise was a sequel as such just a game using same engine that added a few new features.

Bubble Bobble Neo is supposed to be released Aug 5 for 800pts (according to Wiki). The article they based this on says that is the Japan date and assume that the US is the same date. Well we all know that doesn't mean squat for Aussies (TMNT delay anyone?).

Hopefully it will come out soon and hopefully it will be good. I would prefer Snow Bros Jnr but its still good old school fun.

Don't we have some (or all) wonderboys on the Genesis/Megadrive disc? If I'm not sure it's because I could care less about those poor man's Mario's, but if your a fan then check it out.

Also, someone mentioned Black Tiger - that's available for one of the Capcom packs for PSP - and still rocks!

For me I want the original Turrican on Amiga (Turrican 3 is already on the Wii VC but doesn't have the same charm)

and of course the classic Double Dragon clones - we have Turtles, we need The Simpsons, The Punisher, and Aliens VS Predator.

Had turrican 1 and 2 on the amiga 500 they were awesome but your right the first one was by far the best and would make a brilliant live arcade game.

Would like to see Strider too . already have ghosts and goblins and ghouls and ghosts on the capcom arcade games on xbox 1 - not sure if this works on 360 or not??

**** me. Lotus challenge 2. Talk about memories. Man I loved that game on the mega drive. Espically the sound track. It seems games that were big on the sega consoles are the most wanted on xbla. Oh, Toe Jam and Earl would be great, with online co-op.

Would love to see Toe Jam & Earl released on the XBLA, awesome game.

Likewise LETC 2 - although i had the Commodore Amiga version (had the trilogy in fact!), the game was great.

If Test Drive Unlimited 2 ever comes out, i'd love it if they released the early games (Test Drives 1 - 3), on the XBLA. They were other favorites of mine from my Commodore Amiga days.

Those games are Master System games, not megadrive games.  I have both those games on an emulater on my laptop, wonderboy is still heaps of fun to play but alex kidd sucks! haha
