Re: why can't we play online for free?
i just tried something else and i was able to connect to a party with one person but i cant connect to my friend. also for some reason i was talkin to my cuz on the phone and his xbox seems to be alot different than mine and my wifes. like when he gets a bad connection or when he test the internet connection it tells him why my xbox doesnt do that and i have all the new updates and everything but his is a whole lot different so this troubles. is it that i can only connect to others that have the same xbox than me or what?

Stop trying to Open Ports, this is where you are creating the problem. Just Enable UPnP and DHCP Automatic Settings, nothing else.

If you have an Open Nat Setting then, the person that you cannot Connect with, they need to fix what is wrong with their end. Try removing them as a Friend and then adding them back again. Just let them know what you are doing before you Delete them.

Is there any possibility that they have their Party set to a Private Party? If their Party is Private you cannot Join them without an Invite no matter what. It might be a possibility they do not want you to Join.

I'm very well convinced they have some damn good servers running.

I have a 128 Kbps- basic DSL lmao....it's not that bad, 3.75 for a month on average, just do an extra half hour of work every month to pay for it. 1 minute a day average?

edit: have forgot to mention I haven't been booted to date, GTA 4/Halo, well booted through the voting system onlyWink [;)]

90% of the games are self served, a small portion of those games use an outside server for organizational reasons. Im not saying that its not worth it just that the servers are more infrastructure than directly game related.
Lost is right its sounding more and more like your setup is fine and the people either have to reconfigure their equipment, buy new equipment, upgrade their connections or they are just blocking you from entering.

Methinks people first post and perhaps then later read on.
One of many, last of two.

When there's rates from $3.75 to $4.15 a month, that's almost free.  What more do you want?  Indifferent [:|]
Why does sitting around make you more tired?

I've just bought a 13 month membership for £39.99, this works out as about £3.07 per month, just over 10p a day! If you ask me Xbox live is well worth 10p a day. Get a grip lad.
