What I did by mistake was save only when I had two beacons left , then I never saved after that , then after I watched the credits and "continued campaign" I had access to all areas.

So I would suggest save and quit when you have 2 beacons left (preferably the last 2 in order), but do not save anymore once you have only 2 beacons left.

Then if you happen to miss any you can go back and reload that save and find them as you will still have access to all locations.


This may work with just one beacon left as well.

You make it sound like there are save slots, but it seems to me there is just one save. Am I missing something? Many times I would like to have a save at a particular checkpoint, but once you move on, it's seems that is gone (unless you mean to exit without saving again - that makes sense now - after a bunch of typing).

I have 29 now and am just waiting for the magical #30!

To save and print the map  image:

If you use Firefox as your browser (and why wouldn't you?) right click on an open area near the top of the map, then select "view background image". The map is the background image. Then while viewing, save and print.  Bingo.....

Yes there is just one save slot , checkpoints are not actually save points unless you save and quit.

If you happen to just turn off your 360 and never actually saved and quit the game you will start all the way at the beginning of the game, as the checkpoints are not hard saves .

Only when you save and quit does the game actually save at that point.

Question for you all. I have been playing co-op with a xbox live friend online, trying to find all the audio files. I have heard that if I go back to playing solo, I will have to start the audio file achievement over. Is there any truth to this, and can I go back solo, and try to get some other achievements like the laser one without having to worry about this? Thanks!

yeah I think so , I know when I had found 21 solo and went to co-op I had zero , then went back to solo I had 21 again on the 1st map.

I suggest doing another game in co-op to see if it saved your file count in co-op.
