I have a question, I purchased the style pack and cannot find any of the cars or the new modes.  Do you have to have xbox live to benifit?  Wear is my stuff?

If you are talking about playtime, then you should be able to find it. However, you won't be able to choose it if a player in your playtime lobby has not purchased the style pack.

I don't believe you can use the cars in online career, but if you can, you have to buy them first for them to show up.

You can use purchased cars in the offline career (not so sure about the online career). Once you have bought them they will show up in the "buy cars" lists for zero credits.

My question is:
Why are some of the photo mode controls greyed out? Do you unlock them somehow?

You need to have the new cars in your garage before you can use them online.  When you goto to buy them in the game they are always free so its just a case of filling empty slots in your garage.

First be gentle with me, this is the first time I have played any game. I just purchased the Xbox 360 which comes with PGR3. Is is possible for 2 people to race against each other? I don't mean online or anything, but simply 2 people using the game together.

i havent played it in a long time but yes i think u can it should say on the back of the game 1-2 players offline at least on mine it does

Way any problems with it?

yeah it does say players 1-2, but just can't figure it out once the game is going

I rented gotham first and it did it also. wanted to return the xbox but the store said it was in the game. I purchased a copy and that one does it also, however when i play it on a friends xbox i have no problems. Could still be the unit mayby?

well its kinda a no brianer if it dont work on yours but it does work on your friends most likey its your xbox 360

Its possible for 2 players in the same xbox to be on line?

Hey guys i got my 360 today and pgr 3 and its awsome i love 360.

As stated by many others, this is an awesome FAQ. I recently bought the game and I've become hooked.  It would be very easy to spend hundreds of hours trying to excel in all of the races. I downloaded the Cadillac collection and have been trying to crack the top 100. Tough for this old man!

I'm doing my free month of XBox Live Gold right now, and I haven't yet decided whether its a good fit for me. So far, I don't like the whole MS Point system of commerce. I mean, some of these icons are expensive!

Anyhow, I do like the various forums. They are a good of info on the games and the system.

I am disappointed that the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel doesn't work very well with PGR3, despite PGR3 being included in the box.

According to the config screen, selecting "Wheel A" should allow you to look left and right using the D-Pad, but it doesn't work.

Additionally, the game is tuned specifically to the joypad and, since there are no wheel sensitivity options, you're stuck with this really unresponsive floaty control over your car.

Just to make it clear, the version of PGR3 you get with the Racing Wheel is supposed to be a specifically enhanced version that complements the new hardware.

By contrast, Test Drive Unlimited works exceptionally well with the Racing Wheel (although it does still have the problems with not being able to map the camera to any of the wheel's buttons).

Is it possible to extract the geometry wars games from the game cd to my hard drive? as i dont want to insert the cd every time i want to play them

RE the wireless driving wheel not working well on PGR3 but working ok on Test Drive Unlimited I found completely the opposite.  My wireless racing wheel works great with PGR3 but not with Test Drive Unlimited.  I found that the force feedback was good on PGR but almost completely missing in Test Drive Unlimited.  Are you using PGR 3 that came with the wheel as this contains extra drivers for the wheel.  These drivers are not present on older versions of PRG3?

For the record the game is much harder with the wheel than with a wireless controller but much more fun to play!

Apart from the brief mention of TDU, this is all completely on-topic.  In an FAQ on PGR3, it would be reasonable for someone to ask why the button mapping called "Wheel A" doesn't work as expected.  This is a fault in PGR3, not the Racing Wheel. 

There is no 'update disc' included with the Microsoft Wheel, by the way.  What you get is a pre-patched full copy of PGR3.

If I beat this game on lets say hard do I get all the achievement points for the lower levels, like novice, easy and normal, if I didn't play any of them. Asking because I never played Gears of War until I played with a friend on Insane and it gave me all the lower level points even though I didnt play them.

about getting the easy rewards if you do the hard races first:

i got all steel reward medals and the subsequent steel racer badge, but the bronze rewards didn't show up.

looks like we have to do all the lesser bronze races as well to maximise the points.

also got the gotham tv sports fan reward, but never watched 10 races more like after watching one race

^^^ That is because Bronze is a higher difficulty than Steel...

Highest to lowest: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Steel...
