Re: Amped 4
It is agreed this iteration into the series was a far stretch from reality made by a bunch of acid dropping hippie psychodelic @$$ clowns.  With that said, do you think that if Amped 3 was called something else entirely, would 1)any person play it out of curiosity, 2)More people enjoy it because it isn't synonymous with SSX or Amped, or 3)Would this game been better if online multiplayer been involved?  If no one will play the game under the Amped name because they are too bitter of the change, will online multiplayer really change anything when no one is on?  If it was really THAT realistic, no one would play it if they were a true boarder because they could do exactly what is in the game in real life.  I guess the reason for this rant is to say everyone has a point, but in practice with everything flying around, amped 3 could not be saved... Sad but true.  No original developers, no original (aka GOOD) game.

if all this is true about XSN and the property rights, and if amped 4 is being made, hopefully it will be by microsoft and the crew that did amped 2.

amped 3 was honestly the biggest letdown of my gaming life.

if you feel me on this, post up, people need to know.

I agree that Amped 2 was a great game and I didn't buy Amped 3 simply because they changed its style. Apparently my suspicions were correct...

I like your idea, it would bring some intensity to the game, with so many people riding the mountain, you would have plenty of fun running into each other.

I want a decent looking nice snowboarding game for my xbox 360!! I missed my chances of Amped 1 and 2 because I was too busy playing SSX tricky on my gamecube, I love that game and the music, but I heard Amped was awesome too... here's hoping they bring it back!

Re: Amped 4...we hoped, but its OVER NOW!
Alright, after 14,450 views I am officially calling this DEAD. There is not going to be an Amped 4. The new Amped is Stoked and Stoked is on track to become the NEXT Amped 2 with my help and all the fans that want Amped 2 back. It is time to move on. I have dedication to getting Stoked close to what Amped 2 was so popular for and beyond that. So follow me with Stoked. The "original" is great but there is much more to do it to getting it close to Amped 2. Together me and the Stoked team will launch Stoked higher than the Amped  benchmark! If you have NOT tried Stoked, try it out. It plays just like Amped used to, its a bit rough, but so still there. The soul is there and we are just starting with this game and will take it to new levels. You want Amped 2 again, its going to be in Stoked. Not the one now, but eventually we will take closer with each step and pass it!

Look, as much as I would like another Amped, one done the right way, we are pissin in the wind with this! Its over! I do not think 2k is doing Amped again. There is a new game taking its place, and that is Stoked. I keep saying Stoked right now is a BLUEPRINT for the next Amped caliber snowboarding game. It is not there now and will take time to get it there. It will build up over time to eventually surpass Amped. It will be done cause these developers know what fans of this game want in it and where we want it to go. So lets move on! Stoked  is taking over....

Re: Amped 4
The only reason that 3 sucked was that 2k let Indie Built do whatever they wanted plus they were too behind to make mp but Microsoft wanted it real and that made it great. If MS takes it back plus puts it MMO style and realistic it would be a Amped fans dream. I was sort of disappointed of the 3rd one but it was ok.

Actually they didn't know what the h  e l l they were doing! Back when Amped 3 came out one of the devs from Indie came on here and Game FAQ's and I cornered them on GF about the NO ONLINE multi-player and they let it out THEY had a MMO model going but scraped the entire thing and went the entire single player concept instead. ALL they wanted was to cash on the Amped franchise name instead of taking more time to finish the MMO they had originally started working on.

They also said HALF the team was split on the presentation of Amped 3 and in disagreement for the direction it was going. So again, they simply scrambled to put something together to be in time for the big launch. Had it not been about the launch I think that MMO might have been finished with more time to work it out. I would have rather waited awhile than to just have another "Amped" at launch, that basically got debauched for the launch and dismal results that shut down Indie Built and the splitting of the development team.

The part that made 2, THEY are at Destineer. All the experience of 2 is with Tony Chiodo, unless 2k has one of the program managers from Amped 2 you can forget about 2k ever getting back Amped to its roots. Believe me when I tell you Amped lives on, but now it is called Stoked as the entry and there will be other versions coming as they dial towards Amped 2 / Skate, and then eventually I want to help make a MMO a reality for snowboarding. It will happen eventually but not with the Amped name....

Rebel stop plugging stoked. If the fans wanted Stoked they wouldn't be on these forums saying they want amped 4. Stoked is no where near to what Amped was as much as you seem to think so.

I think you have missed the point entirely. The Amped fans want the game the way it was like in 1 and 2, only next-gen. A good number of us feel we didn't get that with 3, unfortunately the studio closed down and that team split up. The facts are 2k has shelved this title, and unless they have experience from Amped 2 still with them there is no way for Amped to come back like it used to be. Now Stoked on the other hand, has a former Amped 2 dev Tony Chiodo, so don't make me have to explain why Stoked will be the new Amped eventually.

Yes not now it is isn't, the next one, Big Air will be a tad closer, but still work in progress to get to a lvl Amped 1 and 2 were considered great snowboarding games. So when you say they want Amped 4, sorry to burst your bubble buster but its not happening. The only game capable of regaining the Amped rep is Stoked in the future. Everybody needs to get over the Amped name, its gone, plain and simple. That is why I am behind Stoked 100% because it will become the game where Amped left of at later in the future.

By then, once the game is flying past what Amped 2 was noted for being, 2k may get off their dairy aire to bring Amped back and they will have lost the advantage of using the Amped name at that point... 2 choices are all that remains now, Stoked or SWS on Wii and I know most Amped fans want nothing to do with the likes of SWS on Wii. I'm not pluggin the game btw, I AM TELLING YOU IT WILL BE THE NEW AMPED, plain and simple!

No, no not at all bro. I meant Amped 1 and 2, never anything like 3! So not Amped 3, but like what 1 and 2 gained a rep for. Big difference...
