98 - sounds OK at my end but my friends hate it because of the buzzing. Some times seems worse than others. Pretty disappointed if I'm honest!

Re: Post if your WIRELESS headset is not working
Microsoft claims that this earpiece runs on the same tech as the controller does. Why is it that my controller NEVER disconnects and the wired headset works all the time? Technically speaking, the wired headset is wireless. I think that I will return my headset and wait to see if they get these issues worked out.

Re: Post if your WIRELESS headset is not working
I used to have the disconnect issue.  Then I got the bright idea to try and change my wifi channel number on my router.  I changed it to channel 11 and have not been disconnected since.  Not sure if anyone else has tried this but it worked for me and my headset has been working perfectly ever since.

66 Disconnects with beep.  Seemingly short battery life.

My Xbox 360 is on the left side of the center of the room and very low (but not on) the floor underneath my HDTV.  The farthest away from the console I can get is only about 11 feet maybe 10.  I have to wear the headset on my left ear and remember not to get too comfortable on the couch to keep a connection.  This has cut down on the number of disconnects.  However, as the battery discharges over time, the disconnects return: left ear or not.  Furthermore, the wireless headset seems to pick up my surround sound system more that the wired headset and people online I've asked my to turn my "TV" down: which I've done of course (or had to mute the headset).

P.S. Almost forgot: I have a microwave, wireless phones, a wireless router and a wireless access point.  I've turned them all off and unplugged them all and the disconnects still happen confirming the limited range of the headset itself.

Just upgrade my dashboard with the latest "patch" which is mainly for 1080p issues on certain HDTVs (not mine).  It also includes "better wireless headset performance with wireless controllers".

I don't want to jinx it but I tried a little Call of Duty 3 with the wireless headset in my right ear (see above quote) and I didn't have any drop outs.  Must take this with a grain of salt though because I could only play about 15 minutes or so before I had to get ready for work on the evening shift.

Hopefully others will post their findings here once they have downloaded the update.

105 I think, exactly as above, I've had to stop using it because of the complaints.

Any solution on the horizon?

Re: Post if your WIRELESS headset is not working
After the recent live update, 11/30, I played for more than an hour having no disconnects. By contrast, the day before it was disconnecting every minute or so. Maybe the update patched things up, we shall see.

maybe for the disconnects, but i'm still having severe sensitivity issues making it impossible to play a game without the thing muted.

Damn.  You're right.  Well, that sucks.  I've never had an issue with my wired headset using wireless controllers.
