Well excitement and all you know. Retailer had no idea and I had read conflicting reports on the internet so wanted to try it out myself.
Surrendering is NOT an option.

Prince,

those are all valid points, but this game was completely developed by codemasters...its just another version of BLIC/RPIC...i doubt MS had too many creative inputs on the graphics or presentation...having said that, the graphics are unimpressive to say the least and gameplay-wise there isnt much different from last year's edition....but its still the best cricket game around (which isn't really saying much, is it?)....i'm very disappointed not to have a plyer edit option this year (that was prolly the biggest demand from BLIC/RPIC fans)....i dont want my ace batsman to be named Tendakli

If you play the game in the ICC events, then you get all the real names. This is an ICC licensing requirement for Non ICC parts of the game

Yea thanks a lot. I was wondering if you could just tell us about the platinum games which will/have been released in India. I am hoping Burnout  is one of them :)

mohit,

i have no problem with the developers using fake names as part of the ICC agreement....this is a given for all sports games that do not have licensing rights (eg: the winning eleven/pro evolution soccer series)....but all these games offer editing options where we're free to change the look and names of the players, teams, stadia, etc....icc won't mind gamers changing the names of the fake players since they don't fall under their license

while i'm on the subject, another thing that ticks me off about this game is that ur forced to manually save your profile....that is absurd and an unforgiveable oversight on the developer's part....everytime u unlock rewards u get an annoying message saying "don't forget to save your profile"

I hope Graw 2 releases this month. Last game that i bought was COD3, its good but gets boring. It would be also nice if Microsoft India would start selling xbox game titles like Halo 2,Fable and other good titles. Lets hope Xbox Live launches soon in India because we are missing a lot of excitement without it.

Re: Games Portfolio for Xbox 360 India

So i was going through Microsoft's e-store on ebay, it seems the folks have finally updated the entire list. Something that is very interesting to note is that the prices of the games have been reduced from Rs 2510 to Rs 2335 and the platinum games that used to cost 1500 Rs i think now are costing only Rs 1395. If the prices have gone down, its all good. By the way guys, shipping is free if you buy from Microsoft e-store [Official Microsoft Store].

I wonder if Mohit can clarify this issue and explain about the price reduction. If the prices have not been reduced this just means that these prices are without VAT which doesnot quite make sense.

If the prices have reduced, i would like to  applaud Microsoft India especially Mohit and his team for their  work. :)

Re: Games Portfolio for Xbox 360 India
I clicked through to buy a game and the Ready to buy price remained Rs. 2335 till the 'Commit to buy' page (where clicking commit enters you into a legally binding contract). Unless they increase the price on the next page (which I doubt) after entering into a contract it does seem that the prices have been reduced.

Re: Games Portfolio for Xbox 360 India

VP - good, fun game....wanna get my hands on it too

Oblivion - great if you're into RPGs

Burnout - arguably the best racer available on the 360 (till May 15, that is)

Carbon - passable

if i had to pick 2 out of these - VP and Brunout (but the new Burnout will be out in a few months)

Re: Games Portfolio for Xbox 360 India

Hello there....Is it true that some of the games on XBox 360 are region free? Does that mean I can buy a game in US, which is NTSC, and run it in my Indian PAL system?

And...what are those games? Is there a confirmed list?

Any idea on Over-G fighters and Moto GP 06?

yes there are confirmed region-free lists (although MS themselves won't confirm it for u), but we're not supposed to post them here

Moto GP NTSC Asia version is region-free

Over G Fighters NTSC Asia version is region-free
