I have taken the time for the Microsoft Backwards Compatibility Emulator Team and have compiled a list for them of exactly which levels do not work in Pariah when played on the XBox 360:

Communication Tower - grey screen

Generator Room - grey screen

Cross Roads - grey screen

Anvil Courtyard - screen turns yellow towards beginning of level.  ...eventually it turns grey again and is unplayable.

Last Run - grey screen

Stockton's Last Stand - blue screen

Shroud Revealed - blue screen

Here we are, two weeks later...

I'm not sure what's going on, but if you go to this page (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitysupportissues.htm) you'll see that Pariah still is not listed as having a single problem.

Microsoft, this looks really bad. Please, either take this game off the BC list until you can make it playable or add the list of glitches that I spent time compiling for you onto that page. Thanks.

Well i have just mailed them hope they will ad least take it off the bc list until they can fix it because if i can't play it it's a wast of my cash the i would rather have bougght another game.

Cool. We need everyone who's interested in playing Pariah on the XBox 360 to either rent it and see for yourself that the emulator doesn't work then tell MS in an eMail, or simply send 'em an eMail letting them know you were thinking of purchasing this game but chose not too because you've read that the emulator doesn't work.

They still have not added these problems to the Known Issues page.

I'm honestly astonished at the lack of care being put into the backwards compatibility of the XBox 360, it comes across as being handled in an extremely sloppy manner.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up.  It's helpful when reporting video/graphics bugs to know your display setup, particularly whether you're using PAL or VGA.  If you're using both PAL and VGA, there is already a support article on this (linked to from the backwards compatibility support page).

 

I've opened a bug for the team to investigate the issues you reported.

i've noticed that when you plug in a second controller and press start on it. the screen becomes a split screen and then you can play the level without the strange textures. this is the way i have played the levels where this happens. hope this helps. Please spread this the game is worth the money.

i just ran into this problem today on my 360.  i assume this problem does not exist on the xbox?

i dont think they check their mail ive mailed some much i askd em about pariah no answer for 3 months did it agen and didnt work so...

i sent em another email from every user in my hotmail account (53) and still nothing

I finaly got the anwer I was looking for. I am new to this forum and I was asking the same question about pariah and I finnaly got my answer, they took it off the bc list so I  asume they are working out the bugs .   ms please let us know when you are going to work on a bc title.        Thank you very much and keep those bc titles coming
