Re: Hovering

I tried taking off, but since I suck at taking off i'm sure I'll suck at landing too.

I turn on hover put the engine all the way and I go like 10 feet off the ground and I'm going foward for some reason then I crash! I'm confused on how this works

Re: Hovering
right to take off hit hover then power up to max hover to at least 200 ft without moving joystick then slowy nose the plane forward just a bit then when the knots are at least 70/80 release hover mode and let the plane come out of auto.landing is very tricky because you need to be virtually at stall speed as you reach the runway ,but with practice it gets easier ,the real fun is to land it on a carrier thats awesome

If I power my engines all the way up while hovering will it go straight up or will it go foward a bit? and when I get to that high I just tilt my nose down a bit and take off hover?

Re: Hovering

It's pretty easy. To take off from hover. Just get about 100 FT off the ground, press the left button on the Pad below the left control stick so the HOVER at the bottom flashes and push it forward. I usually do it at 60 FT. To land, just get your plane to about 150 Knots and level the plane and press the left on the Pad and it will start to hover. If you put on afterburners it will make you go forward a bit. If you don't want it to go foward just push your left control stick down to go backwards or to slow it down. You don't ever want to close your power all the way because once it starts to comes down really fast, it will be impossible to stop and you will slam on the spot your landing at. The power to fall is about 75-80 and the power to go up is 90-100. You can land on the grass and streets of misson areas and I don't explode. Just come down very slowly and then you can drive like a car.

Yep, mainly because they move.
